Sydney, Australia’s Bonepeople was a mid-to-late 1990s project, inspired by world music, rhythm and grooves, triphop, electronica, politics, and peace and Maori New Zealand's novelist Keri Hulme’s Booker Prize-winning The Bone People.
Spearheaded by dual songwriters and seasoned bassists Vanessa Lucas and Adrian Workman, the project at its height evolved into a 7-piece live band, before calling it quits in late 1998. Their new 3-song EP, "Deception, Love, and Hope", presents reimagined versions of key songs from that period; beautifully produced, reworked and remastered for 2024.
Adrian Workman hails from the iwi (Māori tribe) named Ngāti Kahungunu. He is known for his work as bassist, cofounder and lead songwriter with New Zealand early 1980s post-punk outfit Vietnam, and later as a member of Sydney-based indie guitar popsters The Bhagavad Guitars, and melodic alt. rock band.
Vanessa Lucas has roots in Sydney’s vibrant Greek community. During the 1990s she played violin with indie pop/rock band Tall Tales & True, and bass, violin and backing vocals with the prominent indigenous Australian group Mixed Relations. She has also recorded with First Nations artist Kev Carmody, and Māori artist Jen Cloher, among others.
A full album from Bone people was recorded through 1995-1997, but never released. In 2000, Vanessa and Adrian revisited three of the album tracks, with a view to reimagining the songs from their original conception. "Deception, Love and Hope" is available now.

I had a conversation with legendary guitarist MARK GEMINI THWAITE (MGT) regarding his music, collaborations and upcoming events.
Born in Birmingham, England, MGT has been the guitarist and collaboration for a number of English rock bands and artists over the last two decades, including The Mission, Peter Murphy, Tricky, Spear of Destiny, Raymond Watts (PIG), Theatre of Hate, Ashton Nyte, Mob Research (with Paul Raven of Killing Joke), and Canadian band National Velvet plus various live and recorded appearances with Gary Numan, Al Jourgensen of Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Roger Daltrey, P.J. Harvey, Alanis Morissette, Combichrist, Primitive Race, Black Star Riders, Ginger of The Wildhearts, Stan Lee of Marvel Comics, Franz Treichler of The Young Gods and Ville Valo of HIM and so much more.
In 2016 MGT signed a solo album deal with German label SPV records and releases his first solo album, "Volumes" under his MGT acronym at the end of June worldwide. The lead single, "Knowing Me Knowing You", a cover version of the ABBA classic featuring guest vocalist Ville Valo of HIM, was released in April and viewed over half a million times in two months - mixed by Tim Palmer (HIM/David Bowie). Valo is not the only guest musician on "Volumes", other appearances include Wayne Hussey of Mark's previous band The Mission, Miles Hunt and Erica Nockalls of UK band The Wonder Stuff, Ricky Warwick of Black Star Riders / Thin Lizzy, Raymond Watts (PIG, KMFDM), Saffron (Republica), Julianne Regan (All About Eve), and Ashton Nyte (The Awakening).

Underground 90s UK Industrial legends History of Guns released their latest album called "Half Light" via Liquid Len Recording Company.
Formed in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire in 1996, History of Guns became frontrunners of the UK's Wasp Factory / FuturePunk scene of the early 2000s and their 2004 single 'Your Obedient Servant' was ultimately championed by The Quietus and Mick Mercer as one of the “thirty best goth singles of all time”.
On this album, founding members Del Alien (vocals) and multi-instrumentalist, Max Rael (keyboards, programming) are joined by guitarist Caden Clarkson, the newest member of History Of Guns.
Exploring the human condition through various musical genres and their unique "Meta- Modernist" industrial sound, Half Light is produced by Max Rael, mixed by Max Rael and Caden Clarkson, and mastered by Pete Maher (U2, Pixies, Nick Cave, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails).

Spectrum is a collection of songs created to highlight each color in a palette. Each song, each color is both a celebration of the color, but also the perspective in which each color is experienced through the lens of G.W. Childs IV. Growing up with synesthesia, Childs has always 'seen' sound. When a series of events altered his life in the form of the pandemic and other major events, Childs reverted to a simpler way of navigating and relating to the complex situations occurring in life by dealing with each moment as a color. Green began the journey as a way of seeing change through nature as a stepping stone for change in life. Blue continued the journey as a reminder of how nature steps in when things seem hopeless. Red became a story of passion when controlled and released. Indigo formed into the hopes for the future generations as they face situations unlike any our civilization has faced before. Each color is a mood and a portal into those vibrations and perspectives. Combining multiple genres with an entire landscape of synthesizers custom-programmed for this album, Spectrum is unique in sound and presentation. Spectrum is available on COP International.
With a connection to Hawaii, G.W. Childs and vocalist Jay Tye formed "Soil & Eclipse" in HONOLULU, HAWAII in 1996 celebrating the Aloha magic, spirit and love. In 1997, Jay and G.W. were contacted by COP International and signed the band to the label.

German-Italian post-punk duo Circolo Vizioso released their debut album Verruckt, created mainly with electric violin, guitar and drums. Hailing from Berlin, Circolo Vizioso was founded by Tony Scafidi (guitar, bass, drum, hi-
hat, vocals) and Paul Geigerzaehler (violin, snare drum, vocals).
Formed in March 2020 on a balcony in Friedrichshain, Berlin during the first Covid-19 lock-down, Circolo Vizioso was born as an attempt to keep art and music alive and to provide support to their neighbors during a time when no concerts were happening and no cinemas, museums or galleries were open. Circolo Vizioso is these artists' attempt to resist the isolation and the lack of social and human contact, as well as the hunger for music and art during this unusual time. The album is available now

Based in Stockholm, Sweden, Then Comes Silence was founded by Alex Svenson in 2012, originally inspired by frequent touring with A Place To Bury Strangers and an attraction to horror and the occult. Today he is joined by drummer Jonas Fransson and Hugo Zombie (Los Carniceros del Norte) on guitar.
They released their seventh album called Trickery on Metropolis Records. Recorded by Jörgen Wall (Jay-Jay Johanson, The Hellacopters) over three days at Stockholm's Kapsylen Studio and mixed by Tom van Heesch (Rammstein, Apocalyptica, Backyard Babies), this album was mastered by Svante Forsbäck / Chartmakers (Rammstein, Amaranthe, Ville Valo, The Rasmus, Apocalyptica).
According to the band, this album celebrates friendship, unity and the feeling of belonging to a group, a tribe. Being a part of what most people would call the goth and post- punk community is, according to the band, a great privilege. Of course, there are dark sides to everything, but after being on the road and meeting people from the music scene for so many years, the band have experienced a caring and welcoming community.
Then Comes Silence has toured and played live with The Fields of the Nephilim, The Chameleons, A Place To Bury Strangers, The Bellwether Syndicate and Vision Video, as well as performing at Wave Gotik Treffen, M'era Luna, Amphi Festival, Castle Party and W-Festival. and .... Then Comes Silence

Alt-rock duo Lovelorn Dolls released their 4th album called "Deadtime Stories" via Alfa Matrix / SPLEEN, produced , mixed and mastered by Max Maryan, known for his work with cult electro-goth metal duo Helalyn Flowers and IMJUDAS .
Hailing from Brussels, Belgium, Lovelorn Dolls is made up of Kristen Lowagie and Bernard Daubresse. After a 5-year hiatus that saw Kristell transform into the photographer/ visual artist Kristell In Wonderland, with exhibitions across Europe, Lovelorn Dolls is back in a big way, inspired by this experience.
On "Deadtime Stories'" the duo embraces a stronger identity – creepy cute
ambiance, eerie Tim Burton-esque scenes, guitar-driven sounds, catchy dark
melodies, childlike synths, industrial tones, and Kristell’s distinctive voice, all
boldly and fully embraced.
