DKM Hockey Podcast

Joe, John, and Morgan are back in Episode 11 to update everyone on their hilarity on the CBJ Oregon Trail.  But the boys have a special guest during the entire show, none other then Mr Dark Blue Jacket himself, Tom Fellrath.  With the trade deadline approaching, the four of us draft two players for the CBJ death pool as we try to pick the CBJ player most likely to be traded at the deadline.  With the 12 game point streak over, Morgan is back in therapy.  The show winds down with a little Q&A with Tom from DBJ and the boys finally make good on a Best Buy gift card give-a-way. 

This is quite possibly our best show ever.  We record live from the #CBJsocial station during the March 16th, 2013 game against the Phoenix Coyotes.  We are pleased to bring you a 90 minute super special episode.  The show is filled top to bottom with your favorite segments, a new game, and 5 exclusive interviews with all walks of #CBJ fame.  We interview Rob Mixer, Alison Lukan, Leo Welsh, CBJ Nation, and the one, the only, Kevin Schroeder.  We bring you the conclusion to the Newly Wed game, our best "Being John Kempovich" segment yet and John, Joe, and Morgan prepare to play CBJ Oregon Trail and draft their CBJ player families during this episode.  Enjoy!

The boys return in Episode 9 to start the discussion of blowing up the Blue Jackets.  Kemp falls in love with strippers and players and finds it difficult to make tough decisions.  The boys finish part two of the CBJ Newly Wed game.  John, Joe, and Morgan give some love to some loyal listeners and vow to start giving stuff away on air.

The boys are back with some new material.  The John and Morgan participate in part 1 of the Blue Jackets Newly Wed game.  The boys reveal their rules for the 2013 Blue Jackets drinking game.  But, not before a special guest appearance by none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger. 

In Episode 7 John, Morgan, and Joe pretty much go unscripted for this episode, more than usual.  But tonight has some special features.  During the opening segment the boys revel in the hiring of Jarmo Kekalainen as the Blue Jackets new General Manager.  The second segment starts at 11:50 when the boys review the week that was in Blue Jackets hockey.  The third segment of the show at 30:40 brings the world broadcast debut of Morgan Langworthy's parody of the Radiohead classic, "Fake Plastic Trees" rewritten as "Fake Plastic Blue Jackets."  Say what you will about his singer/songwriter talents, Joe Reader nails it on the guitar.  Then, for the final segment the boys play a little "WWJD - What Would Jarmo Do?"  Braclets coming soon.  You can email the podcast at [email protected] for any questions, comments, or concerns. 

The boys bring you four glorious segments in Episode 6:  They open with some big news, Scott Howson is relieved of duties.  At 12:00 of the show we bring you another episode of Being John Kempovich - it's pretty much our best segment ever.  At 29:45 we review some of the more notable trades of the Howson tenure in "Grade the Trade" and we learn that John lies to his children.  At 54:30 we review the week that was and the road trip that will be.  If you're fan enough to listen to the entire show, take a drink every time someone says the name "Steve" and then call for a cab ride home.

John is AWOL as Joe and Morgan return for another informative episode following a week of Blue Jackets woes.  It's Groundhog Day (or, as we like to call it "Groundhogs" Day)Joe and Morgan break down the previous three games. Joe assumes the role of remix master "DJ Joe" and puts some of the highlights from each game to its own song.  The boys do their best to keep John in their thoughts and jokes.  WARNING: This podcast contains the music of Enya. 

Joe Reader is the host with the most in our fourth episode.  The DKM crew returns to the quiet and audibly controlled confines of the studio.  We break down the first week's worth of Blue Jackets action while John and Joe play therapist to CBJ cynic Morgan.  The DKM boys also come up with the catchy marketing phrase, "Jack N Wiz." 

The DKM crew podcasts live from the R Bar in the Arena District in downtown Columbus, OH for the Columbus Blue Jackets 2012-2013 home opener against the Detroit Red Wings.  John and Morgan welcome Joe Reader as the full-time third member of the podcast.  Joe loves the Blue Jackets and hates all others.  The crew discusses the Blue Jackets season opener in Nashville and end each member of the podcast gets a wish.  The R Bar was a great atmosphere and was insanely loud.

After learning the do and the do nots of Podcasting in Episode One, John and Morgan return in this episode to share their thoughts of the first day of Blue Jackets training camp and try out a new segment called, "Being John Kempovich."
