A tropical storm went through southern CA this past Sunday. On Saturday, Disneyland made an announcement that they were closely monitoring the storm and would make adjustments based on the latest information from the National Weather Service. At that time, the decision was made to close the parks early, with DCA closing at 9pm, Disneyland at 10pm, and Downtown Disney at 11pm. To prepare for the storm, Disneyland did things like clean storm drains, roll up construction scrims, and remove unsecured umbrellas. This past Sunday was the annual CHOC Walk! This wonderful event is a 5k walk through the Disneyland Resort to raise money for the Childrens Holpital of Orange County. This year, they raised over $2 million!! – https://www.micechat.com/364936-disneyland-update-disneyland-storm-halloween-arrives/

We’re almost there, Disneyland has announced the opening date for Tiana’s Palace! On Sept 7th, guests will be able to enjoy all of the elegant and subtle details at this updated location. Tiana’s Palace will remain a quick service resturant, that means no reservations needed to enjoy the new space! With a new season comes new souviner popcorn buckets and sippers!! Currently the resport has an amazing Hatbox Ghost sipper and Disneyland Train bucket but during halloween time, more will materalize. The glow in the dark Donald Candy Corn sipper is returning, previously released at WDW the Mayor’s Car from the Nightmare Before Christmas, PLUS a new Mickey Mouse Skeleton bucket, Minne Mouse as Winifred Sanderson, and a light up Zero bucket will all be available throughout the resort. Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is returning to Disneyland! This fun self-paced hunt will run from Sept 8th through Nov 1st. Disney released a seek peek of this year’s prizes, character pumpkin sippers! To join in the fun, you will need to first pick up a map for $9.99. We have some fun news for Star Wars fans! To align with the new Ahsoka series coming to Disney+ this week, guests visiting Batuu will get the chance to meet Ahsoka!
