Disney released the 2024 event Calendar for the Disneyland Resort. Some of the celebrations marked on the calendar are Lunar New Year, taking place January 23rd through February 18th, Celebrate Gospel February 17th and 24th, The Food and Wine Festival from March 1st through April 22nd, Star Wars – Season of the Force from April 5th through June 2nd, PixarFest from April 26th through August 4th, Halloween Time is early next year starting on August 23rd through October 31st, Plaza de la Familia from August 23rd through November 2nd, and the holidays arrive later on November 15th. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2023/12/disneyland-resort-announces-event-dates-and-more-for-2024/ https://www.micechat.com/374996-save-the-date-disneyland-announces-the-full-slate-of-events-for-2024/

PixarFest is back at the resort with some updates! From April 26th through August 4th, colorful decor and themed menu items will be available. This time, an all new daytime parade, “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!”, will arrive at Disney California Adventure. At Disneyland, the return of “Together Forever: A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular” with some new scenes will be performed. Hidden in the calendar update was some information about the return of Fantasmic! May 24th will be the premiere of the updated Fantasmic! at Disneyland. When it returns the Pirates of the Caribbean sequence will be transformed back into the Peter Pan sequence, as in the original. National Cookie Day was Monday and of course, Disney got in on the fun, posting five recipes to help celebrate. The Chocolate Peppermint Cookies from Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Melted Snowman Sugar Cookies from PizzeRizzo at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Snickerdoodle Cookie with Snockets from EPCOT, the Burbon-Eggnog Snowflake cookies from Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Dar in Disney Springs, and finally the Snowman Shortbread from Disneyland. ToonTown is almost finally out from behind all of the construction walls. The last remaining walls that are up are around Donald’s Duck Pond. The rest of the area is open and looks great for guests. Goofy’s How to Play Yard has an updated birdhouse, the play side of Donald’s Boat has the teeter-totters back, and things generally look great! – https://www.micechat.com/375030-disneyland-update-walts-wishes-third-park-theories-socal-steals/

It’s wild out there in the jungle. The Jungle Cruise has a few elements missing at the moment, which may take away from the experience. Squirt, the elephant that sprays water at guests is missing, the temple ruins that used to go over the water have also been removed, and one of the African Bull Elephants is also missing. This past weekend, the Candlelight Processional took place at Disneyland. The celebrity narrator for this year was none other than Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson!
