The Breath Nurse, Rachele Scevola, is a Registered Nurse (BSN, RN) and certified Breathwork Facilitator whose passion and mission is to help nurses, other healthcare workers & first responders, and anyone desiring change transform their life with their breath. With over a decade of bedside nursing experience, Rachele's own health journey led her out of her nursing career and into the healing power of the breath.
After graduating nursing school in 2010, Rachele was recruited into neuro critical care at a large university hospital. She went on to work in neuro-trauma/neurosurgical ICU, intermediate neuro ICU and various other high acuity stepdown/progressive care settings throughout her career, in addition to trying on two non-hospital positions, until her final departure from bedside in 2020.
Rachele has lived through severe burnout, compassion fatigue, PTSD, and suicidal ideation coupled with chronic health issues stemming from childhood that were exacerbated by her career and now thriving by staying connected in the nursing community and helping people in a new way and role.
