Cynthia Thurlow, founder/CEO of the Everyday Wellness Project, a MSN NP from John Hopkins in 2000 and author of Primal Eating and Intermittent Fasting Transformation: The 45 Day Program. She is also the host of the Everyday Wellness Podcast.
She has clinical experience in both the ER and cardiology, for nearly 20 years. Although she knows and respects the power of conventional medicine to treat disease and save lives, she began to think more about the root causes of chronic health issues. She recognized the powerful relationship between food and her patients’ health and wellness. This led her to do advanced training in nutrition and functional testing so she could help others enjoy optimal health before they needed emergency care.
Then this passion became personal. In 2019, as she was traveling back home to Washington, DC, from a romantic Hawaiian vacation with her husband, Cynthia had a serious health scare. It was at that moment she decided she was gonna live BIG no matter what.
The YouTube video of her TEDx talk on IF, as of May 2022 has been viewed by over 11 million people. Which has lead to incredible opportunities for her career. Her passion is nutritional science, but she is most proud of her titles of mom and wife! She has two boys, including two Doodles and a loving, patient, and supportive husband. It's important for her to be fully present and invested in these relationships, She is on a mission to help other women experience optimal wellness so they can focus on the things and people that are most important in their life!
