April Waddell, RN, BSN who is a CVICU PEDS RN with nursing experience in adult, medical imaging, emergency, PICU and NICU is on the podcast this week. She immigrated from the Philippines to Chicago when she was five years old. Growing up, she was never taught the power of investing in the stock market or learned about compound interest. Building wealth was never discussed; She was taught to study hard so that she could get a stable and safe job. Building financial security was the main focus of her family. As immigrants, her parents were focused on surviving. They did their best and gave her every opportunity they could, and because of what they started and the foundation they gave her, she now focuses on thriving through investing and making passive income.
