- Personally (she was able to see her taking 6 months off from work as a personal investment) 

- Professionally (due to the time off that she took, she was able to attract six clients to her private practice)

On this episode of The Do Epic Shit Today Podcast I chat with Manika, an inspiring human who has set out with the goal of accomplishing a 155 Mile Ultra Marathon Grand Slam - in ONE calendar year. These four races take place all over the world; Namibia, Mongolia, the Atacama Desert in Chile and Antarctica. Currently Manika is half way through with her goal, she’s completed two (Namibia & Mongolia) out of the four. Her next race will take place later this year in Antarctica and Manika and I chat about what she’s looking forward to, her reasons to set such a massive goal and all of the logistics required for just her next race alone - like mandatory gear, the actual journey itself to get to Antarctica and some of the amazing components that makes this race so amazing. In addition, Manika recently transitioned from living the “comfortable” apartment life, to life on the road. She and I discussed and recorded the podcast whilst she sat with the most amazing background - just her radiating positive energy, basking in nature and living life to the fullest.

On this episode of the Do Epic Shit Today podcast, I chat with the humble and unfazed Rob Sembiante. A man whose military background, a non fear of failure mindset, and acceptance of the “suck” moments have led him to accomplish some gnarly ultramarathons and superb achievements. His most recent feat, titled Brawl 300, was a 300 mile ultramarathon intertwined with Utah’s epic mountain ranges that had over 63,000 ft of elevation. Rob managed (with the help of his amazing crew) to complete this feat in a little over 5 days. Throughout this episode Rob shares some of his tips on foot care (CRUCIAL for these long expeditions), how to minimize self doubt when mentally and physically challenged, and persevering when you want to throw in the towel. With more amazing projects on the horizon, Rob is JUST getting started.

On the episode of the Do Epic Shit Today, I chat about overcoming anxiety, my journey of taking anxiety medication, the personal reasoning behind it and my mental health as I have officially completed my ten week medication discontinuation after eight years.  As a D1 collegiate athlete who didn’t have the tools to cope with anxiety or understand how common it was amongst my peers, I struggled to ask for help when I needed it the most. On this episode I chat about my personal journey, my relationship with anxiety, how EIGHT years later, I’ve officially weaned off my medication, and my current mental health status. This is a special episode - one that shed's light on the topic of mental health and is  (hopefully) an opportunity to help those who may feel alone or isolated while dealing with their own personal struggles.
