Have you ever heard some common phrases like these in church? "Expect the Holy Spirit to move today!" or: "Are you ready to experience God in a big way?" So often in church we come into God's House seeking an *experience.* Experiences and encounters are heavily monetized by popular preachers, and if we don't have an 'experience' of our own, we're left wondering what we did wrong or why God isn't moving in our lives like He is someone else's. This propels us to ask a very important question: are we worshiping God or just what He can offer us? In this episode, we dive into a typical worship service setup in today's popular church setting and take a better look at what we should really be expecting when we come to worship the Lord.
