Let’s Talk About Being Mindful of What We Feed and What We Starve

    Summary:

She encouraged listeners to focus on solutions rather than problems and to cultivate thoughts that promote growth and prosperity. Petrina also invited others to join her in exploring these ideas further and promised to provide a summary of the discussion in the show notes.

    Notes:

We can sometimes focus on the things that can go wrong or things that are problems instead of our goals and what we have working in our favor.

When we focus on the problems without looking for solutions, we perpetuate the problems.  When we focus

on our fears, we take up space that could be occupied by courage.

Let’s Talk About Understand the Context of Your Connection

Understanding the context of our connection will allow us to select the best delivery method, word choices, and help us understand when it is best we check in to ensure the intended message is being received. When we assume a relationship that does not exist, it opens up opportunity for poor communication, distorted messaging, and can create difficult for both the recipient and the deliverer. Understanding context allows us to be more empathetic versus assuming our frame of reference is universal.

our communication. She noted that people often make assumptions about others' behavior based on their own frame of reference which can lead to misunderstandings. Petrina urged the listeners to take the time to comprehend
the context of their relationships, highlighting that this approach will not only improve communication but also strengthen relationships. She invited listeners to check out the show notes and her recent publications for further

  • Episode 6-565: Challenge Accepted - Legacy

Episode 6-565: Challenge Accepted - Legacy

Let’s Talk About Leaving a Legacy

This episode is dedicated to the memory of one of my high school classmates, Sharmin who passed away last week. Sharmin loved her son fiercely and left a legacy of authenticity, positivity, and empowerment.  She took time to appreciate the beauty in others and the beauty of things around us. I will miss all her posts on Facebook, which left a beautiful legacy of her character.

So, let’s talk about accepting the challenge of leaving a legacy. Do you ever think about how your words and actions will impact others now and in the future? It’s important to think in these terms because it helps gives us

perspective about the impact we have and what things matter.  Have you ever noticed a small child mimic the
actions of the adults around them?  Or maybe you’ve noticed an employee mimic the behavior of a prior supervisor. What we do matters not only for ourselves but for those who will be impacted by the outcomes of our actions.  We can help pave a way and clear a path forward for those who will come behind us.  We can help set up others for success, so that they can learn from the lessons we have already experienced. We can leave an example of how we have learned to approach life and work.

When we learn life lessons, sharing those with others that might benefit, can help to leave a beneficial legacy.

When we make it through tough times, being authentic about our experiences can help others. When we are unsure, showing our vulnerabilities in a safe space can help to leave a positive legacy.  How we choose to spend our money and time, leaves a legacy about what we think is important. So, as you make decisions about the things you choose to do, and the words you choose to say, think about what legacy that will leave.  Are those behaviors and words the things that you want to characterize you and will they
be beneficial in the future? Will you accept the challenge of being intentional

    AI Summary:

    Legacy of Authenticity and Empowerment

Petrina began the session with a tribute to her high school classmate, Sharmin, who had passed away recently. Petrina then challenged the attendees to be intentional about leaving a beneficial legacy, encouraging them to think about how their choices and behaviors could positively influence future generations. She invited them to like and share her messages on social media
