Welcome home, DTD-ers!  We've missed you so, so we've put together a very special minisode.  This week, we discuss the BLACK FLAG episode of Bryan Ray Turcotte and Bo Bushnell's terrific THE ART OF PUNK web series.  And if you know Black Flag like we know Black Flag (and we know Black Flag, bc we're no poseurs), then you know that Black Flag's art means primarily the work of the great Raymond Pettibon -- with all due respect to the also great Edward Colver.  So what more do we need to say?  This is good, important, and meaningful stuff.  Pettibon's art and Black Flag's music aren't too bad, either.  In short: you should check out our new episode NOW; you won't be disappointed, especially if you're a fan of sound effects.    

Hey there, Doc-heads! We’re back with a minisode about punk comps. And if you have not yet realized that we came of punk-age in the 90’s, then this one – and especially the amount of time we spend discussing MULTIPLE Food Not Bomb benefit comps – is really gonna hammer home that point. But don’t be mistaken; we also touch on timeless punk concerns, like whether streaming has killed the comp as a genre, whether the best comps are ones where each band sounds practically the same, and whether comps still make Geoff go “butt wild.”   All that, more, AND a very special visit from our friend, HPK.  So stop whatever you’re doing, now, and give this Noble Podcast/Peace Prize nominated episode a listen.

This week, the DTD crew delivers it's first mini-sode, and its a good one!  And you can believes us about that, because we're impartial.  For the most part, the episode is an apologia for being unapologetic.  But we also touch on the ways jam bands have influenced Geoff, Dave Grohl, punk house disagreements, and spooky Halloween-themed punk bands (ever heard of a little band called The Misfits?).  Probably not, but you should give them a listen... We're ba-aaack!!!  That‘s right, ghouls and goblins, it’s October and Season 2 of Docs Till Death kicks off with Todd Phillip’s spooky tale of existential dread, "HATED: GG Allin and the Murder Junkies".  But Phillip‘s peek into the glory hole that is the life and times of GG Allin isn’t just a great watch for the Halloween season; since his death, even more than during his life, this is GG’s world, and we at DTD are just trying to figure out how to get by — without getting hit by one of those fecal smothered hot dogs.  So join us as we discuss all things GG, except his penis size (what kind of hacks do you take us for?!?!?).
