- Shorties #71 - Pickup Artist Can't Take a HintBob and Greg roll on with the Shorties (while jacked on MONSTER ENERGY DRINKS) to observe the sad pursuits of a person who is a member of the sad legion known as "Pickup Artists". Todd approaches three women on a park bench and it never goes well at any moment. Bob and Greg cringe through it all and give some insight into how sad this shit really is.Here is the shitshow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9Y4mAWMSLs------------------------If you appreciate the show, give us some stars and a nice review on Apple Podcasts. - Episode 145 - The Blackwell GhostBob and Ginger (AKA Sculder and Mully) continue their quest to cover a broad range of paranormal documentaries and have come across one that had a little bit of mysterious buzz back in 2017. Mysterious in the sense that it's a ghost doc that seemed a little too mysterious for it's own good. The truth is blurred in documentaries quite often, but it usually requires some truth at the center of it all. What do we find at the center of Tucker Clay's venture into a haunted house in Pennsylvania? Bob and Ginger are talking "The Blackwell Ghost". Check it out and then check us out. We will give it to you straight. This episode features personal accounts of ghostly contact. Hear it to believe it.The trailer: https://youtu.be/fDmE0zv2oo4Spooky bed music courtesy of Marc Meulen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JnPSMNuHtw----------------------------------If you appreciate the show, give us some stars and a nice review on Apple Podcasts. - Episode 144 - ChynaAngela and Bob watched the "Chyna" documentary by March Strauch as part of the Vice Versa documentary series on VICE. Chyna, the body builder turned wrestler who became the first and only women's WWE Intercontinental Champion. A unique superstar that fell hard from addictions and was exploited by some real Hollywood scuzzbags. Sadly, she is no longer with us. Seriously, this movie is a case study in entertainment industry scumbaggery. You can watch it On Demand on the VICE channel. Hear us talk all about it.Here's the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Z27Xng0Q6s--------------------------------If you appreciate the show, give us some stars and a nice review on Apple Podcasts. - Shorties #69 - Monster Energy SatanBob and Greg watch and review an amazing YouTube video where a woman explains how Monster Energy Drinks are actually satanic. She's so convincing that we went and bought 5 Monster Energy drinks and we also judge different flavors of Monster Energy. We're still hyped up on that sweet sweet MILF-hungry juice. - Episode 143 - 30 for 30: June 17th, 1994 & Little Big MenBob and Drew come back to 30 for 30s with an all new 2-in-1 format! Now we can actually get through, literally, 10 plus years worth of these things. The last to 30 for 30s were pretty shitty so let's hope these next two can redeem. The first one is the Brett Morgen all edit of that strange fateful day when OJ Simpson went on a low-speed chase instead of turning himself into police in regards to a double homicide. Turns out there was plenty of sports news on that day. We're talking "June 17th, 1994" and it stands out in the 30 for 30 lineup. Then shit gets salty between Bob and Drew as they dive into the 1982 story of the Kirkland, Washington Little League team who went on to defeat the indomitable Taiwan to win the Little League World Series. The strange aftermath for the team star was no joke. Drew and Bob butt heads over their approach to this 30 for 30 called "Little Big Men" by Al Szymanski & Peter Franchella. It has the lamest narration we've ever heard.Sports documentaries have the most crying. They beat True Crime in that department and it isn't even close.June 17th, 1994 Trailer (New Zealand Promo): https://youtu.be/kMr6LzRsLdsWe actually couldn't find a Little Big Men trailer so here's a trailer for the Dustin Hoffman movie "Little Big Man": https://youtu.be/7K4l5ZZe4-kPeter Meehan's awesome 8-bit version of the song "This Must be the Place" by Talking Heads: https://youtu.be/jHiH_jTFfpQ-----------------------------------------------If you appreciate the show, give us some stars and a nice review on Apple Podcasts. - Episode 142 - The Unwonted SasquatchGinger and Bob (AKA Mully & Sculder) jump deep into the paranormal fray with the first Sasquatch doc in Documenteer's history. Paranormal docs will be increasing with this duo so get ready to get your M-Fing minds blown out the back of your F-word-ing skull. They discuss Darcy Weir's directors cut of "The Unwonted Sasquatch" and wonder how much has changed in Sasquatch docs since those fun TV docs in the seventies and eighties. Hear from all your favorite Squatch-hounds and feel the thin line of bitterness that runs beneath it all. Oh...and there's a crucified Charles Darwin in this. Here is the movie: https://tubitv.com/movies/583201/the-unwonted-sasquatch-the-director-s-cut-----------------------------If you appreciate the show, give us some stars and a nice review on Apple Podcasts. - Shorties #67: Natural Born SettlersBob and Angela end their trilogy of short documentaries this month relating to the Israeli/Palestine conflict with a New York Times packaged short about a woman from Tel Aviv who decided to go backpacking in the West Bank and see how the other half lives. The other half being the children of Israelis who settled in these lands that were once controlled by Palestinians. Palestinians? Go watch "Sheikh Jarrah" if you want to see them interviewed, they only show up here from far away. Iris Zaki and "Jewish White Guilt" in this shorty called "Natural Born Settlers". Get it? Did the New York Times rename it that? There's an IMDB page with a trailer of this film called "Unsettled" which is a much better title. Maybe we could have renamed and called it that but it's too late now. We're tired and the cat just threw something up on the couch. Here is the short documentary: https://www.nytimes.com/video/opinion/100000006401232/natural-born-settlers.html-----------------------------------More places to subscribe and listenStitcher: https://www.stitcher.com/show/documenteersIheartradio: https://www.iheart.com/podcast/269-documenteers-the-documenta-56951574/Google Podcasts: https://podcasts.google.com/search/documenteersSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/6o6PSNJFGXJeENgqtPY4h7?si=tZScclhYTpyjD4NGxdHyjQSoundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/documenteersTuneIn: https://tunein.com/podcasts/Film--TV-News/Documenteers-The-Documentary-Podcast-p1101428/Email us any recommendations or just say hiEmail: [email protected]Weak-ass social media gameInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bdx-DgzA_j-/Twitter: https://twitter.com/CultureRotterCulture Rot ContentTwitch: https://www.twitch.tv/theculturerotYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9fIvG6ad-mYnJ_caqzExrA31 min
- Episode 141 - KumaréVikram Gandhi (it's just a coincidence that we're doing two of his movies this month)grew up with religion thrust upon him by his Indian parents in New Jersey. Now that the whites in the Trader Joe's parts of town are all about this "mystical" handstanding and "Ohm-ing" , Vikram decided to grow out his hair and beard, imitate his grandmother, and hustle his ass over to Phoenix to start a Guru hub and see if he can pull this off. It doesn't take long for it to look like 75% of a Paul Simon concert and 25% a Dave Matthews Band show.Bob and Jonni watched "Kumare" by Vikram Gandhi.
