Meanwhile, some nightclub owners are flatly refusing to ask customers to show ‘covid passports’ before they’ll let them in, despite government advice to do so. Nicholas says leading scientists fear the dangers of Covid-19 will spiralling “out of control” with a third wave peak which could last six weeks – but he’s not expecting the government to change course.
