If the Lord is fighting for me and I only need to be still for my breakthrough, why do I feel like fighting and how can I let God take control?

What's the difference between God "tricking" the enemy and Jesus "cheating death" vs stories of Abraham, Jacob, and others in the Bible who tricked people by lying, deceiving because of cowardly or greedy intentions?

If anger is a secondhand emotion and God is slow to anger, what would God's firsthand emotion be? Does God even have emotions?
