One of our board and train dogs who was owned by a dog breeder, handler, trainer and show person got a dog that was not from her litter and it was totally different than any of her previous dogs that she has been showing for the last 40 years, leash reactive, constant nose on the ground, could not walk her, and a host of other issues, she could not even show her and this is a very experienced show handler and trainer and knowledgable about the cocker spaniel breed. She brought the dog to us and she finally showed the dog and she got her first titles on the dog. We are so proud of Terri and Pippa.

https://solidk9academy.com/jeff Go to a mechanic ask them to check your oil, they don\'t know how. hire an electrician to change out a power outlet, they don\'t know how, go to a horse trainer and ask them how to put a saddle on a horse, they don\'t know how.....ummmmm they all suck, they can\'t even do the most basic thing of their job description, if a dog trainer can\'t teach a dog to heel in 1 session, i would think twice about continuing as well, it is the most basic thing to teach, it is not even a tool conversation, it is a skill set of your craft conversation, i get contacted multiple times a day of the incompetence that folks go to and have not even learned the most basic thing..

I am out in San Diego and they have a little white fluffy dog, maybe 15#, it explodes at other dogs, she walks it on a harness, i mind my business, i don\'t train my families dogs but the dog explodes when it sees other dogs, so she crosses the street when she sees other dogs, i told her this was bullshit so i showed her a simple one second technique and we walked by the dog.

so many folks try to stop unwanted behaviors with putting the dog in a sit and trying to get eye contact, sorry to let you know, that is useless as far as step one, you need to stop the unwanted behavior and ironically dogs just start looking at you
