Dogglounge Deep House Radio

Recorded live here at the station on 2018 March 11 – the first day of Daylight Saving Time in 2018. Yay!

This was a super ad-lib set; I had little time to prep for it.  I had to track down a serious electronic noise that has been present in my last couple of broadcasts, and this detective work consumed the prep time I had allowed for myself. (I found the problem; a failed external audio interface.). So, once or twice the track selection might have been better. But oh well – that’s “real life DJing”.

Thanks to the fans in the chat.

If y0u’ve heard my sets here before, you know that disco creeps into a fair number of my sets just a little bit. I finally gave in to my affection for it, and put together this set that was all-disco(-derived.). I enjoyed shopping for some new(-to-me) nu-disco, some 21st century disco, and snagging some nice remixes of old disco-era classics.

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.  (And sorry for the little cracks & snaps; there’s something going on in my audio path and I can’t figure out what; it’s an investigation that needs done. Another snafu kept my set from starting on time when I played it on 2018 Mar 4; sorry for that, too!)

Recorded live here at the station on 2018 Feb 11. Turns out that there was an electronic whine being broadcast by my equipment; fortunately, my recording happened in the audio path before the whine, so it shouldn’t be present here; so this might be better to listen to than my live set was.

Thanks to all those in chat. Support the station!

The time to say Thanks

To Odogg, Neonlogic and the rest of the Dogglounge Crew for put a absolute high quallity level on music in this station, since 2003.

To all the ones that aren’t with us, but will live in our harts forever.

To all the followers, supporters and listeners from the beginning, and for the new ones, because you are friends.

To all the great dj’s and producers that drop enormous guest mixes for the loungers. To all the labels that sent me promos for help me to give the new things  first here at Dogglounge.

House music net communities was the very early ones at the start of Internet. Just because we are underground culture from people who use new technologies, so we are the first to addapt the new advances. But as paradox, we use this new technology to do music like 40 years ago, or to do some 40 years in future. Who cares? The most important thing to me is that if my mixes helps you to do your travel, then I’m doing something good for people in real life. God bless you all and this radio.

Recorded live at the station on 14 Jan 2018. Note: I forgot to record locally; but a listener happened to record my set (thank you Miguel!). Thus, I am working from a 128kbps .mp3. This is likely ok, since this is likely how you would have heard it anyway. BUT, if there are any artifacts, now you know why.

Recorded live at the station on 2017 Dec 17.

A day or two before I played this set I saw “Star Wars, The Last Jedi”. Excellent movie. There’s an animated character in the movie you’d see as an ice fox (officially named a “vultex”), and that provided inspiration for the cover art.
