She found success in the entertainment industry as partner and head of the talent department at United Talent Agency, later becoming the top talent agent and partner at William Morris Endeavor - representing the best of Hollywood's elite. Dr. Hallermen launched Recovery Management Agency (RMA) in 2011, and it is the first-ever recovery management program of its kind. RMA is a consulting company providing clients with a team of managers to help them navigate their journey toward healing and recovery. Having been sober for years, Dr. Hallerman realized her lifestyle was making her sick - though she had freed her addiction to substances, she had not freed her soul. After years of trauma and substance abuse, she had only covered up the wounds, rather than truly healing them from within. So, in her 40s, Elisa went back to school, taking classes in drug and alcohol counseling at the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2010. She now holds a master’s and doctorate from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Depth Psychology and Somatic Studies, focusing on neuroscience and trauma. Dr. Hallerman is also a drug and alcohol counselor, and certified in yogic science for addictive behavior. In addition, she is a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine. Dr. Elisa Hallerman's first novel SOULBRIETY: Heal Your Trauma, Overcome Addiction, and Reconnect with Your Soul, is a prescriptive memoir on overcoming drug and alcohol addiction, PTSD and chronic trauma. SOULBRIETY explores how to recognize adverse childhood experiences and trauma, which if unhealed - are often at the core of most adult addiction and alcoholism - and touches on timely topics such as the traumatic events facing us every day: from a pandemic, mass shootings, political injustices, war, and terrorism.

Egotism and vanity have been attributed to the practice of fitness and physical health, but it has been retorted as unnecessary bias from a crowd, who may not have all its ducks together in the first place. And the Us vs. Them-thought process was any different maybe? Here’s something to chew on why fitness is more advantageous than perilous unless you’re a completely reprehensible glutton: Fitness saves lives Fitness saves mental health  Fitness renews marriages The list could go on, however, to solidify these points and to provide more, we called in Kiola Raines to the show this week. Kiola has an extensive portfolio from certified nutrition coach to being a Peer Support Specialist. She has worked in many facets of the fitness industry and has used this knowledge to inject some positive physical education into the recovery community. Art doesn’t have limits, only small minds do as is paraphrased by Stanislavski. On this show and many subject programs, pay attention long enough and you’ll notice that seekers and advocates of Recovery have a strong creative streak that spans mediums by the dozen and as such have ventured to create their own content to purvey their skills. . . . . . This show is a primo example. Commerce, meanwhile, at the same time has been a tricky shadow subject and to this day has kept advocates on their toes where Recovery is concerned - “How in the world could you charge something you can get for free?” comes the one statement, whilst “Recovery is NEVER FREE!” also has been heard for a foolish retort.  Art and commerce are uncommon bedfellows as are Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, but the heart is what separates the boys from the men. Taking a stand when the deck is stacked high and breaking the mold. Kevin Kreider is the second coming to reinvent this wheel. Kevin has an extensive portfolio spanning the arts, business, and motivational speaking to name but a few. He has been featured extensively on multimedia with his endeavors to break cultural stereotypes (much like his predecessor, the legendary James Hong) in Television and Film and is featured on the popular unscripted series on Netflix “Bling Empire”. Every given moment involves change. It’s an uncomfortable phase, but the meddle of every given human being is forged in fire - integration or evolution. What works for you and what doesn’t? In a dysfunctional society and sobriety, a clear blueprint is never provided, which is why mentorship is almost a compulsory given. On the opposite end of the coin, continuous independent study is a faithfully enriching tool. The best part is it is going from failure to failure with unfinished enthusiasm, to quote late Prime Minister Winston Churchill, while also embracing change. How to know what Love is, a Love Story by Reverend Rex If you have been following this show for any measure of time, you’ll come to learn that child neglect and abuse may often have led to the breeding of drug addiction. Tiresome as it may seem to some in society, the curtain is pulled back and the faults of individuals are laid at their very feet. In contrast, judgment is reserved purely by the court judge and the judgment of the Deity. What is overlooked by society, is how we, the sober and the daring, consistently raise issues without the help of normies, but rather through one another; we become more informed, more inspired, and less judgmental. However what we thrive in . . . Is telling the uncomfortable truth. And the truth is . . . YOU can’t hurt us anymore. Reverend Rex is a disciple in this premise. A former heroin addict and certified coach among many titles in his oeuvre, he has spent his time teaching many former addicts about self-love through many practices. For both constituents of “normality” and early Recovery . . . Be honest it’s an unpopular war. In the Big Book, a passage is even dedicated to how simpler times have been, when the sanity of the first drink was the order of the day.  Now with all barriers stripped and deeds laid bare (don’t get any ideas), now an uncertain future looms on the horizon . . . Although that notion should be replaced with the beauty of the Savannah to indicate what potential is to be found. The opposite of loneliness in addiction is a community in Recovery. No person is an island and so rubbing shoulders with people who have an adequate amount of clean time can become a post for learning. A noble quote from our previous guest Alex Talbot states that RecoverWE is CommUNITY. In the second to third year of the program, students and adherents are motivated to try their hand at starting their own meetings or even influencing of community. True to form, we stretch our wings and extend our footprint to one of the four institutional seats of Europe and welcome Jessica Faulconnier-Weis to our program. Jessica is both culture-rich and articulate and has worked tirelessly to institute a recovery community, dragging constituents into the 21st century. Recovery saved my life. I was broken. I was spiritually bankrupt. I had lost nearly everything. I had hit rock bottom several times but just kept digger deeper. I was at a crossroads, I had a choice, if I continued to use drugs and alcohol I would destroy myself and everyone around me as they watch me die. Or I could completely surrender to the disease of addiction and recovery. Recovery is a process of change in which people improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life, and strive to reach their full potential.... For me, this means recovery isn’t just being 𝐬𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 or going to meetings. It is 𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐌𝐘 𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄. I have spent many years as a motivational speaker on mental health and substance use disorders to try to help others reach their full potential… I am a regular speaker at Hazelden and treatment centers across the State of Minnesota giving back that which was so freely given to me.
