Republicans efforts to redistrict in Texas has exposed a voting rights act violation. The Trump Department of Justice has discovered that certain districts in Texas were drawn up to create a racial drawn district under an outdated law. This has helped Democrats to gerrymander districts in their favor and the Supreme Court will weigh in on a similar case in Louisiana that is also in violation of the Voting Rights Act.
