On January 26th, 2001, Gloria and her family traveled a short distance from their home in Mena, Arkansas to hike the Lover's Leap trail at Queen Wilhelmina State Park. However just a few minutes into the hike, she decided to turn back and wait for everyone else at the park lodge.  But when the rest of the family returned to find Gloria just half an hour later, she was gone, and has never been seen again.
