The autumn of 1987 perhaps summed up the Rangers season perfectly. In the space of eight weeks, Rangers would have their manager banned for five games, their most precocious midfield talent hand in a transfer request, their star striker found guilty of assault, their three big English imports charged by the police and their captain ruled out for the season whilst breaking the Scottish transfer record on a player who would become a club legend, qualify for the quarter finals of the European Cup and play three matches which, more than 30 years on, fans still regard as amongst the greatest Rangers games of all time.
David and Alan join Martyn to try and make sense of the drama that unfolded.
