The most frequent command in the Bible is… “Do not be afraid”. That’s right, “do not be afraid” appears in the NIV 70 times. This doesn’t include variants such as “fear not”, “do not fear”, and the like. “Do not be afraid” is a command, not a suggestion. Life is scary, but that doesn’t mean we need to be scared of it.
