Psalm 103 is a beautiful call to remember the goodness of God. David begins by telling his own soul, “Bless the Lord... and forget not all his benefits.” It’s easy to become consumed by our current struggles and overlook all that God has already done for us. But David intentionally recounts God’s faithfulness: He forgives our sins, heals, redeems, shows mercy, satisfies our lives with good things, and removes our transgressions “as far as the east is from the west.” God knows our weakness, remembers that we are dust, and still chooses to love us with everlasting mercy. When we pause to reflect on His character and His faithfulness, gratitude naturally replaces discouragement. Make it a habit to remember God’s blessings. The more you dwell on His goodness, the more your heart will be filled with worship, trust, and hope for whatever lies ahead.
