IS IT ALWAYS GOOD ADVICE TO FOLLOW YOUR HEART? -

... Keith and Lee had been out of their studio for about a month, which of course meant they hadn't recorded their weekly DONT GET ME STARTED episode. (Thanks for being patient, faithful listeners). And they both missed doing so. This recording was their 91st, so after laying down a weekly episode for over a year and a half, it's understandable why they were happy to be back behind their microphones discussing life with their own free-flowing, lively and (inimitable?) deliveries. This episode's topic of whether it is always good advice to follow your heart, excited Lee, who is always keen to accentuate the positive, and typically rose to the occasion with some good research. But not before the guys had a bit of fun with some casual banter, catching up after their break.

    ANGELA VAN BOXTEL

... Angela Van Boxtel is one of those larger-than-life characters who wears many hats. She is an environmental designer, a photographer, an ocean and nature lover, founder of Waste to Design and is happy to describe herself as a Dutchie in Australia, a bohemian, a mother and a lover of colour. If you log on to her daily Instagram posts you will see many examples of her vibrant love of life and artistic endeavours. Plus, the fact that she could very well add to her introduction the tag of 'coffee lover,' for each morning post sports the tag line: "But first coffee." Angela is Noosa-based, and with her exuberance, she brings an uplifting energy to all she does and to all those she encounters. As a person who wants to live life to the full rather than to live for gain, it was a pleasure to chat with her.

    CASSANDRA POSTEMA -

... For this episode of THE MEN’S QUARTER Keith sits down to have a chat about Aussie men - and men in general with his long-time friend Cassandra Postema. Cassandra lives an international life based in Bali, from where her textile and jewellery businesses sees her regularly flying to London, Amsterdam and Perth. Whilst THE MEN’S QUARTER is a podcast home for men’s voice, it’s important to hear from women concerning their view on men today. Cassandra’s thoughts were mainly from an international perspective, but also at times quite personal.

    A MEN'S QUARTER 3 Part Mini Series discussing manhood. Pt 3 ...

    15 Hard Truths

    - Continuing with the three-part mini series sharing their views on manhood, Keith, Lee and Michael sit down to discuss fifteen hard truths about psychology and life. Michael takes the lead on this episode and decides to focus on only two or three pertinent questions as they most succinctly sum up the theme of the conversation. And the questions prove to be a good lead-in that sets up the discussion, which all three guys contribute to in their distinct, individual ways. How could they not? Different ages, different life experiences and different outlooks on life. Which always adds more interest to the mix. It's been a pleasure for Keith and Lee to have Michael in for the mini-series.

    A MEN'S QUARTER 3 Part Mini Series discussing manhood. Pt 2 ...

    7   Growth mindset shifts

Keith, Lee and Michael take their places behind the studio microphones once again to discuss the second part of their continual discussion on manhood. Their three-way chat certainly wasn't the definitive word on being a man, but an honest, manly exchange of their own experiences and observations. Keith the Australian (Aussie), Lee the Englishman (Pom) and Michael the New Zealander (Kiwi) had differing contributions, but that only added more interest to their conversation. The Men's Quarter is an open platform for men to share with each other and to talk about their lives - and as such is a suitable audio home for all men, no matter their station or role, to talk freely about their lives and of matters that concern them.

THE MEN'S QUARTER 3 Part Mini Series discussing manhood. Pt 1.

Keith, Lee and Michael sit down to discuss nine questions that every man should ask themselves. However, such was the liveliness of their conversation, they only managed to get through five. It was not only lively but at times quite frank. No surprise, really, as the questions they asked themselves were very pertinent to personal growth. Although some of the answers were surprising.

    1. What fear is silently controlling me?

    2. What would I do if no one judged me?

    3. What kind of man do I want to become?

    4. Who do I need to forgive to move forward?

    5. What's one habit destroying my potential?

    JOHN CARUSO -

... Well-known Noosa identity John Caruso is a busy man. He is a writer, a podcaster, MC, and a proud delivery driver with over 30 years of experience broadcasting in radio. He's also the number one supporter in helping his wife Deb (the publisher and editor-in-chief) produce two popular Noosa lifestyle magazines, HELLO SUNSHINE and IN NOOSA. John is also a keen Brisbane Lions fan (good man) and music fanatic, along with quite a few other wide-ranging interests. Graciously, he found time amongst his busy schedule to drop into the DGMS Studios to record an interview for LETHAL AND MULLY LIVE. And what an interview! The energy levels were high, and while the casual 30-minute chat before the record button was pressed produced some great banter, nothing was lost once the recorded interview eventually got underway. Plenty of territory was covered hearing John's story, and although it rolled on longer than planned, the interview maintained its energy all the way through. Indeed, so colourful was John's interview that it could've easily kept going for another hour or so. Ladies and gentlemen, Mr John Caruso ...

DON'T GET ME STARTED and more update -

... Keith and Lee sit down to record an update concerning the growth of their podcasting enterprise. Further to their flagship podcasts DON'T GET ME STARTED and SURF TOWN, they announce news of them starting up THE MEN'S QUARTER podcast and an internet radio/channel called ROGUE RADIO NOOSA. Exciting growth for the DGMS Studio and the boys indeed. Perhaps typically, though, once behind their microphones, they naturally slipped into podcast mode discussing the topic of their next episode. Which almost ran the duration of half a podcast recording. No surprise really, for both Keith and Lee are genuinely enthused about their coming topics - and opportunities. So enjoy this little-bit-longer-than-planned update and thanks for regularly tuning in.

ARE WE ALL ON THE SPECTRUM SOMEWHERE?

    - There is an unspoken emphasis these days to be as right or as perfect as you can be. But is that even possible? Certainly, we all want to live our best lives without messing it up somehow. Which is natural of course, yet that is quite hard to achieve. So what stops us? Plenty - not the least being ourselves. We are not perfect and have imperfections, meaning that occasionally we can be our own worst enemies. Does that mean we're all on the spectrum somewhere? Well, maybe we aren't, according to the standard classifications - although there is a good chance many of us have some aspects of spectrum characteristics in our makeup. And if we do, does that matter?

    KEITH, LEE, and MICHAEL -

... There are plenty of jokes along the lines of, "What happened when the Aussie, the Pom and the Kiwi walked into a bar?" This episode of Lethal and Mully Live could very well be titled, "What happened when the Aussie, the Pom and the Kiwi walked into the podcast studio?" Especially when they recorded a free-flowing conversation on a list of human attributes. And then tried to label each other according to the six categories being discussed. None of the three men are shy, and definitely not backwards in coming forward, so while sparks didn't fly, it certainly was spirited. The guys agreed that, while not definitive, the six different types of attributes were relevant to themselves and helped them understand others. Plus, they clearly enjoyed talking about it.
