There is a difference between grieving and quenching the Spirit. Quenching is what we do to the Spirit, grieving is how He responds. We grieve the Holy Spirit when we take actions that hinder Him from being what He could be in us. We quench the Holy Spirit when we take actions that hinder Him from doing what He could do through us. This message deals with two main ways that we automatically grieve the Holy Spirit.
