John 6:24-35 records Jesus telling his followers to “work…for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you.” Like them, we may wonder how to do this work. Jesus’ response illustrates the heart of the Gospel: “Believe in him whom [God] has sent.” Salvation is God’s doing, not ours.
