“Tribulation then the Kingdom”
(January 13, 2022)
From the outside we look at people’s lives and may form an opinion about them and how easy they have certain things. If we are not very careful, we do that to justify ourselves and our current state. But that is not fair nor is it scriptural because Jesus taught us:
*John 7:24 (KJV) Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
*John 7:24 (NLT) Look beneath the surface so you can judge correctly.
Nothing externally is exactly as what is seems. The Lord Jesus Christ emptied Himself out (Philippians 2:7-11) for us then fought every battle we would ever encounter and won! He encountered all types and shapes of “tribulation” to the point of giving His life and then He entered into “the kingdom of God” triumphantly and sat down on the right hand!
Don’t lose heart today, you may be going through various trials and feel alone with all types of questioning. The Holy Spirit has led you to this devotional for encouragement and strength. Notice what the Apostle Paul taught by the unction of the Holy Spirit:
*Acts 14:22 (KJV) Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
*Acts 14:22 (NLT) where they strengthened the believers. They encouraged them to continue in the faith, reminding them that we must suffer many hardships to enter the Kingdom of God.
If the saints needed to be strengthened, then we need a Word from the Lord by His Holy Spirit to be strengthened ourselves! The devil does NOT want the believer to keep walking through the “DOOR” (Jesus Christ) because as we draw near to Him, He draws near to us and we “enter into the part of His revealed kingdom” to us in our walk! Remember what Jesus revealed to us:
*Luke 17:21 (KJV) Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
*Luke 17:21 (NLT) You won’t be able to say, ‘Here it is!’ or ‘It’s over there!’ For the Kingdom of God is already among you.
The Bible is progressive information, the WORD does NOT change but we are changed and grow by the WORD! Praise the Lord for the eternity and our hope of the Heaven experience but NOW we have a job to do and a role to play to add people to His “kingdom” – His family! All that means is we are a threat to the devil and His plan so it’s his desire to wear out the saints. Turn with me to the great book of Revelation please:
*Revelation 1:9 (KJV) I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdomand patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
*Revelation 1:9 (NLT) I, John, am your brother and your partner in sufferingand in God’s Kingdomand in the patient enduranceto which Jesus calls us. I was exiled to the island of Patmos for preaching the word of God and for my testimony about Jesus.
“OUR GREATEST TRIBULATION WILL BRING GOD’S GREATEST REVELATION”
(John would have never had the opportunity to pen the book of Revelation unless he first went through tribulation)
Please take note to the truth of the order John the revelator has brought to us. He said he was our brother and partner in the “kingdom” but FIRST in “tribulation” and “patience”! Everything you have been through and will be going through is orchestrated by the devil to keep out of the KING and HIS DOMINION (kingdom)! But we feed on the Lord Jesus and live in and from His victory:
*John 16:33 (

“Sin is Sneaky but the Savior Sees All”
(January 18, 2022)
The life cycle of a frog, known as METAMORPHOSIS, is the transition of a tadpole to an adult frog. The life cycle starts with an egg, which hatches into a tadpole, the tadpole eventually gains hind and front legs, turns into a froglet as it begins to leave the water, then eventually turning into an adult frog.
Why are we speaking of tadpoles and frogs in today’s devotional? Because the devil copies everything the Lord has for our good for his evil! Notice what the Apostle Paul taught by the Holy Spirit:
*Romans 12:1-2 (KJV) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: BUT BE YE TRANSFORMED(METAMORPHOSIS) by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
*Romans 12:1-2 (CEV) Dear friends, God is good. So I beg you to offer your bodies to him as a living sacrifice, pure and pleasing. That’s the most sensible way to serve God. 2 DON’T BE LIKE THE PEOPLE OF THIS WORLD(METAMORPHOSIS), but let God change the way you think. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and pleasing to him.
It is the Lord’s plan to change us (METAMORPHOSIS) moment by moment to think like Him, to talk like Him until one day we at His coming will be exactly like Him! But the enemy of our soul is a copycat from the evil side of things! So, he presents his words – his sin little by little hoping we will be too busy to notice it until it grows and changes into something else in our lives (Ask Pharoah)!
*James 4:17 (KJV) Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
*James 4:17 (CEV) If you don’t do what you know is right, you have sinned.
Sin is sneaky, right? Sin begins so cleverly as we just read, just a simple act of disobedience. A word or an image flash across my mind, eye or ear gate then a desire arises within me. I allow it to hang around instead of being obedient and casting it down (2 Cor. 10:5). The image intensifies trying to convince me why it is not just acceptable but necessary! The evil image grows stronger and starts a “METAMORPHOSIS” in reverse away from what the Lord has for me! The once little thing has gone from a seed to a tadpole and then to a frog.
God’s Word teaches me I could have demolished this image when it was little (2 Cor. 10:5). But now is has evolved into something completely different than what the devil showed me! AND NOW IT BEGINS TO MAKE DEMANDS ON MY TIME, MY RESOURCES, MY JOB, MY FAMILY, MY EXISTENCE AND OUR DESTINY! What once was an option has now become my slave driver (John 8:34) making me do what I don’t want to do and keeping me from doing what I should do!
Sin is sneaky, right? We see this happen over and over in scripture. We get in trouble when we are NOT even considering what the devil is trying to sow in us! King David he was supposed to be leading the army of Israel, but he was not in his place! Always remember in your place you have the anointing God gave you for success! But when you are out of God’s place then you are giving place (Ephesians 4:27) to the devil! Turn to 2 Samuel 11 and mediate upon the steps of going downward from the rooftop to the depth of hell.
*2 Samuel 11:1-5 (KJV) And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem. 2 And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose fr

“Practicing HIS Presence”
(January 19, 2022)
So many times, in my life the feelings of loneliness and isolation have been almost overpowering. It’s almost a catch 22 situation the devil desires to swallow us up in. We were created to be a part of God’s family, but all things must “begin and end with Him”! The more we are “ALONE” with the Lord the less chance of the devil making us accept the feelings of loneliness! In a crowd is where I feel the most alone:
In a crowd is exactly where the devil plays on our weaknesses and insecurities. But as I said just a moment ago all things must “begin and end with the Lord”! This takes the pressure off us and puts it on the One who can carry it! Moment by moment we must learn to “Practice HIS Presence” so everything is about Him in us. We were created for fellowship with each other, but that fellowship must be supplied from our relationship in the Lord! If that is NOT the case it will not be long till we are running on empty. Let’s come back to foundational truth:
*Psalms 139:7 (KJV) Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from THY PRESENCE?
*Psalms 139:7 (NLT) I can never escape from your Spirit! I CAN NEVER GET AWAY FROM YOUR PRESENCE!
The Psalmist David has given by the Holy Spirit us some profound truth. GOD’S PRESENCE is always with us! So, the question arises: “AM I ALWAYS WITH GOD”? And the answer to that is of course NO otherwise these feelings of “loneliness and isolation” wouldn’t be driving me to sadness causing me to pull away from everyone including the Lord! Because the Psalmist David also taught us:
*Psalms 16:11 (KJV) Thou wilt shew me the path of life: IN THY PRESENCE IS FULNESS OF JOY; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
*Psalms 16:11 (NLT) You will show me the way of life, GRANTING ME THE JOY OF YOUR PRESENCE and the pleasures of living with you forever.
The Lord has made a place for each one of us in Him, but the devil will do anything and everything to keep us out! Jesus is the Way (John 14:6) but He taught us that many obstacles (Matt. 7:13-14) would be there by the enemy to keep us from entering in.
*Hebrews 4:11 (KJV) LET US LABOUR THEREFORE TO ENTER INTO THAT REST, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
*Hebrews 4:11 (CEV) WE SHOULD DO OUR BEST TO ENTER THAT PLACE OF REST, so that none of us will disobey and miss going there, as they did.
Why is it we work so hard for the things in our natural life to make our way? We lose sleep, relationships and sometimes even health. But when it comes to the things of the spiritual, we simply roll over and say: “WELL IF JESUS WANTED ME TO HAVE ___ THEN I WOULD HAVE IT”! Notice in the verse above it commands us to “LABOUR” (SPOO-DAD'-ZO) meaning to use speed, that is, to make effort promptly with diligence. What this means to us when feelings to the contrary of scripture immediately we must resist them and embrace the truth!
Closing Prayer and Decree: Father God in Jesus’ name I ask You to correct me in love when I start to believe a lie, a situation over scripture. Touch me in the moment by Your Spirit so I can renew my mind with Your truth! I decree today is and new day in You and since Your presence is always available to me I will “LABOUR” for what Jesus has made possible to me and will rest in You moment by moment! My emotional and thus my physical health is being restored by Your truth NOW! Amen!

“Wise Words then Wonderful Works”
CD#1441
12/26/21 Sun. P.M. @ VWC
Decree: I give voice to GOD’S WORD and PRODUCE HIS WORKS!
After my morning worship this came in my heart: "Some of the WISEST WORDS are those not spoken out loud"! Why? Because “our words” scripture teaches us are the boundary lines (Pro. 4:23) of our lives! With that truth going through our souls consider how our words produce our works. They are the seed that produces the fruit! (Matt. 24:35 – works will pass away but not words) Scripture tells us in: Ecc. 3:1 To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
Text: *Psalms 37:30 (NET) The godly speak “Wise Words” and promote justice (Wonderful Works). & James 3:2-4 – Notice how speech produces action. Good speech produces good action and thus bad speech produces bad action! So, we need to be led by the Holy Spirit in all things but especially when and what to speak. The Lord told Jeremiah the prophet his words would build up or tear down:
#1 SOURCE
*Read Jeremiah 1:9-10 – In all things we are to be good stewards of what the Lord has gave to us and that is especially true of speech. Compare Acts 1:16. David’s "mouth", but not David’s "words". Some people just talk to be talking but scripture tells us:
#2 SCARCE
*Read *Proverbs 17:27-28 – see Pro. 10:19 – Ecclesiastes 5:2 (MSG) Don’t shoot off your mouth, or speak before you think. Don’t be too quick to tell God what you think he wants to hear. God’s in charge, not you—the less you speak, the better.
#3 SECURE
Read Pro. 25:11 (CEV) The right word at the right time is like precious gold set in silver. Close with Psalms 61:1-3 – V.3 “SHELTER”

“First WORDS”
(January 01, 2022)
Donna and I went to bed around 10 and I was awaken by the thunderstorm at 12:38. I got up while Donna rested so sweetly and went to pray in my office. After a short while I started singing in tongues and then revelation came into my mind that the Lord was building me up for 2022! After speaking out those prophetic decrees my heart went to this verse:
*Psalms 63:8 (KJV) My soul “FOLLOWETH HARD” after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
*Psalms 63:8 (AMPC) My whole being “FOLLOWS HARD” after You and clings closely to You; Your right hand upholds me.
Note “FOLLOWETH HARD” (DAW- BAK’) to cling and adhere to, figuratively to catch by pursuit. To help us understand the word better look at how it is first used in scripture {Law of first mention}:
*Genesis 2:24 (AMPC) Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall become UNITED AND CLEAVE TO HIS WIFE, and they shall become one flesh.
We all know the love and the passion after marrying our soul mate. We done all possible to spend as much quality time together. Remember how interested you were in what each other had to say. This is how the Psalmist David is describing his search for time with the Lord! To be successful in this New Year we must make sure having intimacy with the Lord is our number 1 priority in all areas of our lives! See this image below, the DOOR is open for you, will you choose to walk through it?
Many will be running to and for in 2022 but those who seek the Lord will not only find Him but through His Son the Living Word will find everything they are looking for:
*Daniel 12:4 (KJV) But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: MANY SHALL RUN TO AND FRO, and knowledge shall be increased.
*Daniel 12:4 (TLB) “But Daniel, keep this prophecy a secret; seal it up so that it will not be understood until the end times, when travel and education shall be vastly increased!”
*Deuteronomy 4:29 (KJV) But IF FROM THENCE THOU SHALT SEEK THE LORD THY GOD, THOU SHALT FIND HIM, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
*Proverbs 8:17 (KJV) I love them that love me; and THOSE THAT SEEK ME EARLY SHALL FIND ME.
*Matthew 6:33 (KJV) But SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Just stop and think today how many people – maybe even you “RAN TO AND FRO”. You say I have been at home all day celebrating New Years Day! Oh really? Where did the television “TAKE” you, to any bowl games? Where did the internet “TAKE” you on social media? Where did your mind “TAKE” you in imaginations? If we would be honest, we have been doing a lot of “RUNNING” and been “TAKEN” a lot of places fulfilling Daniel 12:4! Not to mention from here in America we can fly to the other side of the world to Australia in 19.5 hours!
We spend so much “TIME” finding out everything under the sun that in 5 minutes will NOT matter anyway! It’s amazing to see what the top internet searches consist of year by year. And most of these are about celebrities who will NOT have any lasting impact upon your life! You will NOT find love, peace, joy, and contentment in this world! In the verse in the Gospel Matthew above we have a promise of everything when we seek the right thing! God is a good Godis not only loves but is LOVE and He gives because love is NOT a feeling but an action!
*Psalms 100:5 (KJV) For THE LORD IS GOOD; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
*Nahum 1:7 (KJV) THE LORD IS GOOD, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

“SEE and SAY”
(December 30, 2021)
After my morning devotions I was sitting in my recliner softly praying in the spirit when the interpretation came out in English: “SEE and SAY”! As I sat there thinking upon that phrase, I realized how true of a statement that is in everyday life! All day long we see something in the physical world or the mental world and then we speak accordingly! Why? Well for one reason we have been trained from a child to do this. Remember this toy from your youth:
In 1965 Mattel released what would become a staple in the educational toy market. The SEE ‘n SAY used the same technology as Thomas Edison’s original gramophone to bring the sounds of barnyard animals to children everywhere. I didn’t have one of these as a child but my brother who was 7 plus years younger had one, and we bought one for both our daughters.
Stop everything you are doing right now and command your mind and body to become still in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ! Wait just a few moments and with your natural eyes closed look at your life. You are at this junction in your life by not just what you have “SEEN” but how you have “SAW” it! Along with what you “SAID” after the way you “SAW” it, you have created your present condition:
*Psalms 116:10 (KJV) I BELIEVED, therefore HAVE I SPOKEN: I was greatly afflicted:
*2 Corinthians 4:13 (KJV) We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I BELIEVED, and therefore HAVE I SPOKEN; we also BELIEVE, and therefore SPEAK;
Regardless of how much Sgt. Schultz try too live in a box it was impossible for him and its impossible for you! Now what we “BELIEVE” come from the eyes – the “SEEING” of our heart. Both the Psalmist and the Apostle Paul desiring to teach us from the Old and the New Covenants that we will ALWAYS “SPEAK” from what we “SEE”! Now we are ready to get to the meat of what the Holy Spirit was praying through me this morning.
How are you “BELIEVING” (SEEING) things around you? Are you being overwhelmed with all the negativity and hate being spued all around our nation and the world? Have you lost hope? Are you ready to give up and join in with all the naysayers? If you “SAID” yes to any of those questions, then today is your day! First of all, we simply got to come to Jesus as a child and ask Him to help us “SEE” things through His Word:
*Matthew 18:1-4 (KJV) At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? 2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, 3 AND SAID, VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU, EXCEPT YE BE CONVERTED, AND BECOME AS LITTLE CHILDREN, YE SHALL NOT ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. 4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
In these verses we “SEE” great truth from the Lord Jesus. Notice what the disciples were “BELIEVING” (SEEING) was a complete opposite to the truth! Lord help us receive this Word as they did so we can be forever changed! True greatness is to be meek and humble as a child, this was a great revelation to the attitude of “men” in this time and culture. At this time men had no respect for women or children, but Jesus has the truth if we will “SEE” it. Jesus “SAW” and “SPOKE” from His Father to bring you and I out of sin and into salvation:
*John 12:47-50 (KJV) And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. 49 For I HAVE NOT SPOKEN OF MYSELF; but the Fathe

“It’s TIME to TURN the Page”
(December 31, 2021)
As I sat down in my recliner after a time of worship the phrase hit me: “Something Old and Something New” and then my mind went to these verses of scriptures:
*Matthew 20:16 (KJV) So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.
*2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV) I have fought a good fight, I HAVE FINISHED MY COURSE, I have kept the faith:
*Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV) To every thing there is a season, AND A TIMEto every purpose under the heaven:
That is when I realized it was the “last day” of our calendar year. Tonight, at midnight we will be saying goodbye to the “Old” and looking for something “New”! With each second ticking away, we are almost to the “TIME to TURN the Page” on 2021 and enter 2022!
It’s very ironic what just a few seconds on a clock does…. Let that sink in for a moment we are looking a lot of the times and “THE BIG PICTURE” and miss out how it is “FINISHED”! It’s 2021 and then a second goes by and its 2022. Last year you had “31,536,000” seconds of life! I am sure you had your share of hardships and setbacks and some disappointments scattered in for good measure. But you also had much good, the Bible teaches us to overcome evil with good! In other words, don’t let the negative shape the ending of this “SEASON, TIME AND PURPOSE”! As we close out this year pull from the “Old” to help build the “New” the Lord has for you and for others through you!
*Matthew 13:52 (KJV) Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things “New” and “Old”.
Ask the Lord to show you anything you need to “FINISH” well in, so you can say the same as the Apostle Paul spoke of above. Close out this year in faith and you will start the new year in submission and obedience making each second count!

Text: Matthew 8:13
The Lord told Pastor Greg "The devil wants to get My people where they are in a worldly wish."
We have a hope we don’t have to wish for anything. A Bible hope is different from a worldly wish. A worldly wish brings peace for a moment. God didn’t give us pretend peace, He gave us Jesus the prince of peace and you are in your hour of hope!
