    Summer means all kinds of cute bags, am I right? One item I am into lately are purses. I am loving how a rattan bag can elevate an outfit.

    Why a Rattan Bag?
    So, I have been trying to be creative with my outfits lately since it's summer. For example, I am avoiding throwing on the same items over and over again. Additionally, I do not want to be shopping all the time. It's easy to get in a bit of a rut since it is so hot. However, summer accessories like this rattan bag add instant visual interest and variety to an outfit.
    I'm drawn to bags in unique shapes to add something different to my outfit.

    What to Look For In a Rattan Bag
    Here is what I like about this Amerii bag and what I look for when shopping for a rattan bag:
    1. Unique Shape & Design
    First, I'm drawn to bags in unique shapes to add something different to an outfit. This circle shape bag is a departure from the usual boxier style bags. Also, it plays off of the polka dot print of my dress. Similarly, this bag also brings some texture to my outfit.
    2. The Right Size
    Next, I consider the size when buying a rattan bag. Moreover, I like my bag to be big enough to make a statement without overwhelming my outfit. In my opinion, it is about finding that right balance. This bag does just that!

  • Summer Workwear Tips
    It's hot outside and you need to wear something for work. Finding summer items that are appropriate for work can be tricky. I rounded some dresses and tips to solve that problem.
    What's hard about summer work wear is that you can't wear flip flops and shorts. At the same time, it's so hot that just thinking about wearing a blazer makes you sweat.
    "You want to wear something that's going to keep you cool during your commute, warm in your freezing office, plus take you from your desk to al fresco drinks—all while sticking to an office dress code." Source: Elle
    You want to look professional while keeping cool. On top of that, you are dealing with drastic temp changes throughout the day. The A/C being blasted inside and the sun beating down once you step outside.
    I rounded up some dresses to keep you professional and a few tips for your summer workwear:
    1. Stick to Lighter Fabrics
    That is is a no brainer. Go with lighter fabrics to keep you cool. That way, you can layer thin cardigan while you are inside. I like linen and cotton items. These dresses are pretty light so I can keep cool.
    2. Go with Necklines with Enough Coverage
    Opt for necklines that give you coverage without requiring a cami underneath. That way you don't need to wear two layers since it's hot. If you notice, this midi dress below has a high neckline. I tucked in the collar to open it up a bit.
