Don't overthink it podcast

This one was tough. I started recording an episode then realized it wasn’t recording. Then I recorded on my phone and it wouldn’t let me record three people so on the final take which is why I call it take 3. I was able to get Vinny and Cordell on here. Pardon the background noise. I thought it would come out clear like when I use my Rodecaster. This episode is for those who love MF DOOM. This Topic is loosely based on a conversation that was had on the way up podcast about trying to understand DOOM. Vinny, Cordell, and myself all Are DOOM heads so it was easy for us. We then get into a conversation about logic of all people and what type of hip-hop do white people detach themselves from. Very good question Cordell posed towards the end. Enjoy.

In this episode, I am joined by Cordell for an Interesting hip-hop conversation. It all started in the group chat with who had the worst verse on LL Cool J‘s classic song 4321. We then got into a whole conversation about whether Method Man is as good as us older HipHop fans say he is etc. Then we got into an overall discussion about styles back in the 90s and looking at them through a 2026 lens. Great hip-hop talks with Cordell as usual.

In this episode, I am joined by Vinny and Cordell to discuss a topic that was brought up in our group chat. Cordell was talking about how he feels Nas Lost tapes more than ILLMATIC and we had a debate on which was better, which was kind of a no brainer But a good hip hop conversation regardless. We then discussed the latest episode of Green Lantern. This episode is great for any hip-hop lover out there.

In this episode, Dula and myself have a conversation about the “mafioso“ era of hip-hop. Which then takes us into the different stereotypes of black culture. Very quick episode, but Dula and I touch on a couple of subjects. Enjoy.

One of Green lantern. We then there off into the topic of whether Vlad and people like him are indeed, culture, vultures or not. We then get into a pretty heavy conversation about growing up during the crack error, and the poor conditions we grew up in, etc. I got semi- emotional. But all in all the good episode. Enjoy.

Being an independent artist, not being funded by anybody else, but yourself can be a hard job. In this episode, I speak to Cordell and Jeff Porter who are just that. Both are independent artist one from Harrisburg one from Lynn Massachusetts. I’m joined by Doula and we have a talk about what all being independent entails and The difficulties of being just that. Cordell tells us some of his interesting stories on being independent and so does Jeff. Very good conversation enjoy.

Ran into a lot of people in these Internet streets. But it’s Brother is a genuinely good positive of Lawyer. Ladies, a gentlemen @kaleafwains is a ball of positive energy. He can find them on Instagram, spreading positivity and uplifting everybody. He’s like A Brooklynite Gary Vee. Dula and myself sat down and had a conversation with him. And even Dula was moved by his words. Great positive conversation, and we also touch on some trauma. Enjoy.

Milz and AZ (not the rapper AZ). Great, hip-hop conversation. It could’ve been titled Barbershop talk, but we changed it.
