We discussed Kendrick Lamar‘s upcoming Super Bowl performance as well as the backlash Jay Z has received from it. We then get into a conversation and are joined via phone by Butch Riley, a.k.a. Lou Riley On the difference between freestyle and off the top of the dome. PAUSE!! We then have a discussion on hip-hop rules, as well as the situation down in Miami with the police and the dolphins football player. Chad and Conrad also join in on all of the conversations. When this episode, I am interviewing the man known to many MC’s around here as SWAMPRAT. And trust me, we do get into the definition of that name. But he is an up-and-coming hip-hop producer, and we get into his origins from growing up in Chambersburg to then getting a culture shock of going to school in the center of Philadelphia. We also talk about where he got his love for making Boom Bap HipHop. We also have a cultural conversation about how people who didn’t grow up in Hip Hop find themselves gravitating to the mort, traditional sense of hip-hop when they discover it. In this episode, Vinny, Cordell and myself discuss MC’s and rappers who just spit bars about how good they can split bars. We have an extensive debate about substance and rhyming just to rhyme. Cordell being the MC of the group, believes rhyming about how good you rhyme makes no sense and is kind of corny. We have some references some back-and-forth but overall a great debate. In this episode, we discuss the forever controversial 50 best rappers list. This one in particular was the one complex recently released on Atlanta Raptors. So you have a 32-year-old or 46-year-old and a 56-year-old from Harrisburg all discussing Atlanta’s business. It’s a hilarious episode recorded at Music Man Studios, so some guest voices are in the background and I’m pretty sure you can guess who they are. Very comical and a quickie. Enjoy.

Everything keeps moving. In this episode, I am joined by Bruce B. We start off talking about old Nintendo games that have been sampled in hip-hop. We then discuss a recent interview between Dr. Umar and mouse Jones discussing whether hip-hop in 50 years has benefited the black community. We go over both sides and have a friendly debate which leads to us discussing growing up and what influences were around our childhood in regards to hip-hop and streets, and whether it motivated you to do crime or not.
