According to the Hawaii Tourism Authority arrivals are up 4.5 percent in 2017 over the same time last year. Hawaii's four largest markets; U.S. West, U.S.East, Japan and Canada report year-over-year increases in visitor spending and arrivals for the third straight month in a row. Arrivals are up 4.5 percent. Another contributing factor is the fact that there are more flights to Hawaii from all over the world which makes the island more accessible.
