Cannock Chase Forest is a hotspot for family days out with a picnic, right through to mountain bikers navigating the woodland terrain.

The Ye Olde Starre Inne in York claims to be one of the most haunted pubs in York, with a long history that may be tied to the horrors of the English Civil War.

Over the centuries, the old pub has changed as the city of York grew, but there are some ghostly regulars who seem to still be making the most of the atmosphere in this old boozer…

Black Dick’s Tower, The Folly, Whitley Beaumont Temple, or just, The Temple, is an 18th Century ruin that sits in what used to be the Whitley Beaumont estate near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

The legend goes that this once grand structure is haunted by the ghost of Richard Beaumont, who lost his head (literally) in a duel over bad debts.
