We interviewed a bunch of Ukrainian artists to hear about their individual experiences in the war. This episode includes an actor serving in the army, an acrobat stuck in the occupied city Kherson, and an illustrator who tells about how they conceived the artwork for a bittersweet story of a dying man trying to serve his country as best as he can.
The artists featured in this episode are from the DAKH Theatre in Kiev, along with the musicians Postman and Renie Cares, the project War.Stories.From.Ukraine and illustrator liubovmiau, Denis Karachkats the cellist and Oleksandr Osipov the photographer/filmmaker, Illia Bondarenko the violinist, and the music producer from shpytalrecords.
Produced and scored by James Reed with a special thanks to Giulia Carbonaro and Pauline Lauch. Made by Invisible Pictures Germany 2022.
Our artwork is by a Ukrainian artist, Anna Moskalets:

UPDATE: When speaking about the illustrator from War Stories From Ukraine we used the personal pronoun "she" when the artist liubovmiau prefers "they." We have reached out to them to apologize for our mistake.
