Holly Anabel Brown is a cohost of the Well Actually Podcast (@wellactuallypod) and coproduces the Salty AF (@saltyafshow) standup show. They are bringing the show to Zoom tonight (12/4), tickets in link below. I had a lovely chat with Holly about her standup career, a switch from improv, nerd stuff and Well Actually. She also makes really cool custom shoes and clothing (@hellohollygoods).
Thanks as always to @chrishellking for the show's music.

I talked with Christian Krauspe (Twt: @lapsedchristian) about his improv with Second City and we both watched Martin Scorcese's The King of Comedy (1982), starring Robert De Niro and Jerry Lewis. The film is a darkly funny look at a standup comedian who will go as far as kidnapping his idol to get a late night standup set.
I helped Christian make some episodes of a comedy history podcast called First Tragedy, Then Farce that you should all check out.
Thanks as always to @Chrishellking for the show's music and @memorybloomstudio for graphics.

Doing this episode ruled. I talked to Kyle Clark (@kyleclarkisrad) of This Is Rad (@thisisradpodcast) and Everything is Scary (Twt: @PodScary). Kyle produces the Jackie and Laurie Show (with Jackie Kashian and Laurie Kilmartin). The show is comedy nerd gold and what we've called in this episode a "master class" for comics by two women who've worked in comedy for decades. We also talked about the comedy record label Kyle started, Radland Records (@RadlandRecords). Kyle talks about podcasting, comedy, and has amazing answers to the best/worst comedy-related memory questions. I loved doing this episode. It's long. Thank you for listening.

This was a very special episode for me. I talked to Sean Jordan (IG: @seancougarmelonjordan Twt: @SeanSJordan), wonderfully positive comedian and integral member of the podcast All Fantasy Everything with Ian Karmel and David Gborie. Sean has an album "The Buck Starts Here" you should all check out. I asked Sean about being from South Dakota, coming up in the Portland comedy scene, and about what makes a good standup show like Faded. The comic of the week is Phil Schallberger! (IG/Twt: @phil_schall)

Hope this episode finds you and the country in a good place. I talked with Mary Elaine Ramsey about her comedy and acting careers, club vs. alt comedy, and the weird road back to standup in outdoor shows and whatever else is happening right now. Mary's got cool acting credits as well as performing at the Comedy Store, which I think is pretty damn cool. Thanks for listening.

Check out my guest appearance on Dead Frog and the rest of their episode catalog. The comic of the week was Milan Patel (Twt: @Milan_Patel). Hope everyone's doing well and having a happy start to the Halloween weekend!
