In this heart‑warming episode, Peggy‑Sue is joined by the inspiring team from Wiltshire Hope & Harmony Charity, the organisation behind Wiltshire’s beautiful and transformative Dementia Choirs.
These choirs are more than music — they’re safe, supportive, joy‑filled spaces where people living with Dementia, along with their families and carers, can come together and reconnect through singing. Every session is crafted with compassion, positivity and a deep belief that everyone deserves the chance to find their voice.
The charity’s founding member, Lisa Williams, discovered the life‑changing impact of music therapy during her master’s training in 2018 with the visionary Aphasia Choir at UWE. Determined to bring that same magic to her local community, she set out to create a choir of her own. Despite the delays of the pandemic, her dream became reality in 2023 with the launch of the Royal Wootton Bassett Dementia Choir & Café.
Since then, the choir has supported hundreds of people, meeting weekly at St Bartholomew’s Church Hall or heading “on tour” to care homes, community venues and churches across Wiltshire — spreading harmony, hope and connection wherever they go.
This episode celebrates their journey, their mission, and the extraordinary power of music to bring light into people’s lives.

Every track was composed by Paul, and he didn’t stop there: he provided the vocals, and played guitar, bass, keyboards, and even banjo. A full one‑man band in the best possible way.
Now back in England, Paul joins Peggy‑Sue in the studio for an hour of conversation, creativity, and a closer look at the stories behind his music.

As a teenager she found her voice singing in the garden with her Walkman, later going on to study Performing Arts in Oxford.
Donna has auditioned for The X Factor twice, reaching Boot Camp on her first attempt, and now brings her passion for music to open mic nights and karaoke sessions across the region. A champion of original music, she first discovered Talk in Code at the Oxford Foodies Festival and has followed their sound ever since.
Alongside her partner Jess, Donna also runs a music promotion venture supporting artists and celebrating creativity — a perfect fit for a show dedicated to keeping the music alive.
