Psalm 78 gives us an honest picture of how easily people drift from God—even after experiencing His provision and faithfulness. The Israelites watched God provide water from a rock, manna from heaven, and protection in the wilderness, yet “for all this they sinned still.” But when hardship came, they were reminded once again that God was their Rock and Redeemer. The same pattern often shows up in our lives. When things are comfortable, it’s easy to become distracted or self-reliant. Yet difficult seasons have a way of refocusing our hearts on what truly matters. Instead of wasting those hard moments by becoming consumed with frustration or fear, use them as opportunities to draw closer to God. Let the struggle remind you of your need for Him and redirect your attention back to the One who loves you, sustains you, and desires a relationship with you.
