In this episode of the Doomsday Prepper's Guide to the MCAT, we go into Biochemistry. Mainly, what is the study of biochemistry? Why is it not just chemistry or biology? What is the close-cousin of biochemistry? And what are the characteristics of life that help utilize the molecules and atoms that exist in an organized way to create you and me.Â

In this episode we begin our journey through physics. We begin by introducing the subject of kinematics (the study of motion or objects in motion) and go through why we have to use the metric system (also known as the International System of Units (SI Units)) over the Imperial System, which we never changed when the early colonies that would one day be the original 13 States of the United States of America were still colonies under British Rule.Â
Anyway, we dive into units and I provide a basic framework for units. I promised visual aids, so try this link for the SI Unit pin I have up. I will update this section later for more SI units.Â
Because this is an introduction to the measurements of physics, I also go into a little of its history and also controversies. There will be a bonus episode for 2020 (just for fun/conversation. No MCAT stuff on it most likely). And that's all! So enjoy and the next episode is coming up real fast and soon :)Â

What this episode covers:
1. Organic vs Inorganic Chemistry.
2. Why Carbon is the "go-to" for life versus other elements in group IV (4) of the periodic table.
3. Ionic and Covalent Bonds.
3.2 Polar Covalent Bonds (e.g. water, the selfish equal sharer).

Just a quick update on everywhere and where weâll be heading if no one objects đ đ
The first quantitative episode is here! Thank you for waiting :) In this episode we go over the General Chemistry section of the MCAT:
1. WTF is Chemistry???/Chemists vs. Physicists
2. Subatomic Particles & even 'Subber' Atomic Particles/Neutrons, Protons, and Electrons
3. The Atomic Mass/Valence Shells
4. Isotopes/Half-Life
