Hey gang! On the show this week, we take a look at the go home Raw to the King of the Ring 1997, then get into all of the Jazwares reveals that took place at AEW Fan Fest before the big Double of Nothing PPV! They showed off so much stuff, including our first glimpse at the Unmatched line, and some wrestling buddies! Then we talk about the PPV itself as well as all of the other wrestling we watched both on the television and in person. That's right, we went to ICW-Milwaukee on Saturday for a death match showcase. All this content and more in this episode. Thanks for listening, and please tell your friends.
This week on the show, we see Stone Cold Steve Austin win his first championship in the WWF as well as The Undertaker return to Paul Bearer in the Retro Raw Review. We also Chat about so much of the wrestling that we watched since we last sat down to record. We go over Dark Side of the Ring's North Korea episode, The Warrior biography on A&E, as well as all of the current stuff as we head toward AEW's Double or Nothing show this Sunday. Enjoy!
The show this week kicks off with a chat about one of the most controversial characters in the pro wrestling business, New Jack, who passed away suddenly a couple days after last weeks show. Whether you loved or hated the man, one thing is for sure, he was a polarizing figure. We then turn our attention to the fact that May 19th is a very important day in pro wrestling history. Everything from Andre the Giant being born to the Curtain Call happened on this day. It should be a pro wrestling holiday. We round it out with several news stories and a review of all things wrestling that we consumed over the past seven days. Enjoy!
This week on the show we take a dive into IYH: A Cold Day In Hell and the Monday night Raw that followed it, 24 years ago. Things continue to heat up with The Hart Foundation and their adversaries. It was a solid show, for sure. Some figure news, and new arrivals that include several of the Macho Man Randy Savage Micro Brawlers, as well as one of the most sought-after Elites on the shelf right now. Then, in the main event, a very special guest sits in for “Whatchu Watchin?!” to talk about the season premier of Dark Side of the Ring, AEW Blood and Guts, and much more! Head over to the socials to see what we are up to. You can find us @DorksideOTR
This week on the show, we have a full slate of awesome content for your listening pleasure! The Retro Raw Review is the go home for In Your House: A Cold Day In Hell, and features a ton of The Hart Foundation with some Undertaker and Stone Cold sprinkled in. The news is a bit sparse this week, but Into the Dorkness features an unboxing crate from the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast that contained two great Micro Brawlers! We then chat about the A&E Biography on Roddy Piper, Steen vs. Generico and a ton of other content. Thanks for listening to the show, and please share with a friend!
On the show this week we get to discuss an awesome episode of Raw in the retro review, complete with a big surprise return and lots of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Into the Dorkness is headlined by some new retro news courtesy of Zombie Sailor’s upcoming line. Then we chat about all of the pro wrestling content that was consumed in the last seven days. There is literally at least one program to watch each and every night of the week. Hey gang! This week on the show, we kick things off with an awesome episode of Raw is War in the Retro Raw Review. This one had it all: Bret vs. Austin in a street fight, Austin getting thrown out of the arena, a surprise return and Undertaker vs. Mankind in the Main! We also talk some news, but the bulk of the show is discussing our weekend in Oshkosh, WI for ACW's Water City Con. It was a fantastic weekend, and we loved breaking it down. If you were there, let us know what you thought. We close things out talking about the Stone Cold Steve Austin biography and the WWE Treasure hunter shows on A&E. If you like what we are doing, please share the show with a friend, and follow us @DorksideOTR. Thanks!
On the show this week, we conclude the biggest wrestling week of the year by recapping both nights of WrestleMania! We also touch base on the Raw after ‘Mania (dud) and NXT’s first show after moving to Tuesday nights. On the Retro Raw Review, we are in Johannesburg, South Africa (as well as Muncie, IN), but the show is mired in technical difficulties from a commentary standpoint. There’s not a ton of figure news after we already covered the huge Mattel reveal from last Thursday, but we choose our favorites. What were your favs from the Elite Squad panel? Also, what were your favorite matches from WrestleMania week? We would love to know! Follow the show @DorksideOTR and chime in.
WrestleMania is too big for one night, and the amount of Mania week content is too big for one show! We break down NXT Takeover Stand & Deliver, Smackdown, and all of the Mattel Elite Squad reveals that happened on Thursday. Some serious figures were revealed, as well as the return of the Retro line! It's so exciting!
That's right! WrestleMania week is upon us. Check last week's show for a bit of a preview! It's only Wednesday as we recorded this but we are already in the thick of things. "On This Day..." is very heavy on litigation this week and low on title changes, Mat had a brutal time putting together the "Retro Raw Review" due to the move over to Peacock, but we get it done. Several cool new things make their way into our collections, and we break down all of the shows we have devoured since last week. Join us for a special bonus episode Friday night, because just like WrestleMania itself, the amount of content that needs to be covered is just too much for one night!
