This week on the show we are back with another edition of the Retro Raw Review! Buckle in as we start heading toward In Your House: Mind Games as we take a look back at Championship Friday on USA. There is a new Ringside Exclusive WWE Mattel Elite up for pre-order: Walter! "Into the Dorkness" has us adding to our collections with the AEW Authentic Scale Ring, Little Bit of the Bubbly Jericho and more. We also talk all kinds of current product from WWE, NXT, AEW and NJPW!
This week on the show we start things off with a heavy dose of "On This Day In Pro Wrestling History" focusing on a couple past SummerSlams. This weeks edition of the Retro Raw Review is preempted by the 1996 US Open so we look back on Mat and Adam's first attended live WWF show from February of 1994. A few new things are up for pre-order at Ringside Collectibles, mainly basic 114 and 115. Finally, we chat about the wrestling we have consumed since we last spoke.
This week on the show we discuss SummerSlam 1996, the Raw that followed it, and much more! Other topics include the WWE ThunderDome, Sonya Deville's stalker, and after weeks of scouring local Walmart stores, an AEW Unrivaled series 1 sighting in the wild! But that's not all, we also break down any and all wrestling that we have consumed since last week, namely AEW Dynamite, WWE Timeline and NJPW Strong. Thanks for giving the show a listen, and if you would be so kind to share it with someone who may like it, we would greatly appreciate it!
Hey Dorksiders! This week on the show we pay homage to the career of the late Kamala. After that we talk about on this day in pro wrestling history featuring Rick Rude in the G1 finals, Scotty Goldman and Juggalos! The Retro Raw Review is heating up as we are on the go home show to SummerSlam '96. Lots of things have made their way into our collections this week including the SDCC exclusive Mr. T Elite figure, and we discuss tons of recent shows on Whatchu Watchin?! Its a good one!
Oh we know where those AEW figures are. They're in the back but you keep saying they are not! All AEW figure hunting aside, we have a great show for you this week! On the Retro Raw Review we are cruising toward the hottest party of the summer in 1996. Jerry Lawler is in action and we get a Battle Royal. The figure news is light, but we have some news including a possible site for SummerSlam 2020. Mat finds the last figure he needs in Elite 77 and we discuss Raw Underground.
On the show this week we stick to the tried and true format, but the star of the show is all of the sweet figure reveals from San Diego Comic Con. We go through almost everything that was announced in the Mattel Elite lineup, as well as the next wave of offerings from Jazzwares AEW figures. The Retro Raw Review has us on our way to the biggest party of the summer in 1996, SummerSlam! We also go hunting for the new figures hitting stores including Elite series 77 and Legends series 7. Thanks for your support as always!
This weeks show kicks off with an On This Day full of a bunch of wrestling birthdays including HBK and David Von Erich. VKM beats a steroid accusation and the WCW Invasion PPV. The Retro Raw Review sees the debut of two Superstars, one of which is now a WWE Hall of Fame inductee, and the obligatory matches featuring HBK, Ahmed Johnson, and The Smoking Guns. There is some decent figure news ahead of this weeks SDCC (look for a bonus episode later this week), and we talk about all of the wrestling that we soaked up over the course of the past week. Enjoy!
This weeks show is full of goodness as we head toward the In Your House: International Incident in the Retro Raw Review. We also see the debut of T.L. Hopper (finally!) Despite being only days away from SDCC @Home, there is a surprising amount of figure news! Who doesn't want a Bret Hart / Bill Goldberg Elite 2-pack?! Also it looks like the Elite 79 lineup has been announced. Finally, Mat and Adam got to see live wrestling for the first time since December, and we of course get into that. Pool Party Deathmatch anyone? As always, thanks for giving the show a listen and if you could drop a big ol People's Elbow on that share button it would mean the world to us!
This week on the show, we get things going with an injury laden segment of "On This Day In Pro Wrestling History" followed up by a Retro Raw Review that kicks off with the termination, er, suspension of The Ultimate Warrior. Nevertheless, we are cruising toward In Your House: International Incident, and Ahmed Johnson and HBK are down a man until an unlikely hero makes his return to the company. "Into the Dorkness" is pretty light on the figure news with SDCC @ home right around the corner, but we do unbox a baseball themed mystery box from our friends over at Highspots. We also discuss some recent programming such as the New Japan Cup, Fyter Fest, The Great American Bash and more. Thanks as always for the listen and the support!
This week on the show we talk about a couple major signings "On This Day In Pro Wrestling History". Vader is drunk looking for bullfrogs. Former friends and tag team partners collide in the "Retro Raw Review" as Shawn Michaels does battle with Marty Jannety in a great match. Jake "The Snake" Roberts is verbally abused by Lawler and Austin. "Into The Dorkness" features new Masters of the WWE Universe offerings. Several things are discussed in "Whatchu Watchin?!" most notably the Mark Henry episode of The Broken Skull Sessions on the WWE Network. Enjoy!
