  • #34- Ringside Fest Reveals, Full Gear Report & More!

This week we have a jam-packed show for you! Lots of championships changing hands in the “On This Day…” segment. The Retro Raw Review is the go-home to Survivor Series 1996 and is really good. It features some of the earliest segments of Steve Austin really grasping the “Stone Cold” persona. Then we go “Into the Dorkness” as we discuss the recent figure reveals from Mattel at this year’s virtual Ringside Fest and some videogames coming your way courtesy of AEW. We also break down AEW’s Full Gear PPV and a slew of other wrestling. Thanks for listening!

  • #33 Austin 3:16 Meets Pillman 9mm

This week’s show is a good one! Some good stuff in the “On This Day” segment, but the main event is the “Retro Raw Review”! We are taking a look at the 11/4/96 episode of Raw, which is the iconic show where Stone Cold Steve Austin shows up at Brian Pillman’s residence. It’s definitely one that most people remember and was a very controversial episode. We comb through a bit of figure news, but there isn’t a whole lot as Ringside Fest looms on the horizon. We also discuss the most recent offerings from Raw, Smackdown, NXT (Halloween Havoc!) and AEW. Join us next week for fallout from AEW’s Full Gear and much more!

  • #31- Bret Hart's 1996 Return, NJPW G1 Finals and More!

This week on the show we are feeling the effects of IYH: Buried Alive! The Raw after this show, which we go through in detail on the Retro Raw Review, had the feeling of a turning point for the company. It seems like HHH is finally clawing his way out of the doghouse, and Bret Hart returns to address his future. He’s staying in WWF forever! (or at least for another 13 months) We have quite a bit of figure news and some decent arrivals as we travel “Into the Dorkness” (Matt Hardy handgun promo anyone?) In “Whatchu Watchin?!” Mat stays stuck in 1996 (save for a NJPW G1 recap) while Adam keeps us up to date on all of the current product. Enjoy!
