Ohana Hygiene Project NH is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Manchester, New Hampshire, that provides safe, non-toxic hygiene essentials to over 1,250 students experiencing housing insecurity and financial hardship across six local school districts. Operating under the motto "Because Every Child Is Ohana", the organization fills a critical gap by supplying personal care items that are often excluded from standard food and safety assistance programs. The Whole Community Alliance for Disability Equity is a specialized alliance of advocates, businesses, and governmental groups focused on emergency management planning for individuals with disabilities. Their core purpose is to close the gap in state and local emergency management that often leaves out or disregards members of the disability community during crisis and disaster planning. They work to bring all relevant stakeholders to the table to ensure emergency preparedness, response, and recovery strategies are inclusive and properly serve the disability population. Today I speak with Executive Director Mark Jenkins.

Unchartered Tutoring is teaching kids science using art. They mainly teach in title 1 schools across New Hampshire. The New Hampshire Food Bank is the only food bank in the state. Operating as a program of Catholic Charities New Hampshire, it distributes millions of pounds of food annually to more than 400 partner agencies—including food pantries, soup kitchens, and homeless shelters—across all 10 New Hampshire counties. That is only the beginning of what they are doing to help NH communities. The Circle Program's mission is to empower, transform, and enrich girls' lives through community, connection, camp, and mentorship. Operating out of Plymouth, NH, they serve socially and financially disadvantaged girls from ages 9 to 18 in the Lakes Region and Greater Concord, NH areas. The program provides a 100% tuition-free combination of residential summer camp experiences and year-round 1:1 mentoring.

Established in 1852, The Granite YMCA is part of the worldwide non-profit Y organization. They focus on youth development, healthy living, family strengthening, and social responsibility. Catholic Charities New Hampshire responds to those in need with programs that heal, comfort, and empower. The organization supports individuals and families of all backgrounds and beliefs across the state. 
Some of their focus areas include poverty and hunger, homelessness and veterans, mental health, seniors, and immigration. So many non-profits fall under Catholic Charities that you might not even be aware of. Today, I speak with Michael McDonough, Executive Director of Marketing and Communications.
