The harvest represents the end of the age when the wicked will be separated and cast into the fiery furnace, while the righteous will shine in the kingdom of God. This parable teaches about the coexistence of good and evil until the final judgment.

On the Easter Sunday, we will look into Mark 16:1-8. After the Sabbath, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome go to Jesus’ tomb to anoint His body with spices. When they arrive, they find the stone rolled away from the entrance, and a young man dressed in white is sitting inside the tomb. The man tells them not to be afraid, explaining that Jesus has risen and is no longer there. He instructs them to go and tell the disciples, including Peter, that Jesus is going ahead of them to Galilee, where they will see Him.

The women are initially filled with fear and amazement and run away from the tomb, saying nothing to anyone because they are too afraid. This passage marks the beginning of the resurrection story, with the message of Jesus' victory over death being revealed.

Passage: Mark 16:1-8

This Sunday, we will explore Matthew 13:10-17, where the disciples ask Jesus why He speaks to the crowds in parables. Jesus explains that He uses parables to reveal truths to those who are open to learning, while concealing them from those who are not receptive. He quotes the prophet Isaiah, describing how people's hearts have become dull, and they are unable to truly understand or see the message of God.

Jesus emphasizes that the disciples are blessed because their eyes and ears are open to the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, something many prophets and righteous people longed to see and hear but couldn’t. The passage highlights the importance of spiritual insight and the difference between those who seek the truth and those who remain indifferent.

Passage: Matthew 13:10-17

This Sunday, we will hear a message from Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23, where Jesus tells the Parable of the Sower, where seeds fall on four types of soil: the path (taken by birds), rocky ground (withers due to lack of roots), among thorns (choked), and good soil (produces a fruitful harvest).

Jesus explains that the seeds represent God’s message, and the soil symbolizes different responses: rejection, shallow enthusiasm, distractions, or fruitful acceptance. Those who receive the message in good soil hear, understand, and bear fruit. The parable highlights the importance of a receptive heart in responding to God’s word.

Passage: Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23

This Sunday, we will dive into Matthew 12:46-50, where, while Jesus is speaking to a crowd, His mother and brothers stand outside, wanting to speak with Him. When Jesus is told this, He responds by asking, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?"

He then points to His disciples and says, "Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother." Jesus emphasizes that spiritual family, built on obedience to God, is more important than physical relationships.

Passage: Matthew 12:46-50

This Sunday, we will look into Matthew 12:43-45, where Jesus speaks about an unclean spirit that leaves a person and goes through arid places seeking rest but finding none. It then returns to the person it left, and if the person's life is empty and unoccupied, the spirit brings seven other spirits more wicked than itself, making the person's condition worse than before.

Jesus concludes by saying that this generation will fare similarly—worse than before—because they have rejected Him, the source of true deliverance.

This fulfills the prophecy from Isaiah 42:1-4, where God’s chosen servant will bring justice and hope to the nations, acting with gentleness and humility. His mission is to offer peace, not force, bringing light to those in darkness.
