Thousands of years ago Humans had very different cultural rituals and customs than we do today, particularly in relation to the birth of a child. The principals inherent in the Christian tradition point to a deeper significance of the birth of a child and this deeper significance is the true meaning of Christmas.

The Grinch has unresolved childhood issues that are causing him to act out self destructive behaviors as an adult. When a young girl sees a different side of the Grinch and takes action, there are many political and sociological ramifications. As the story unfolds, the Grinch learns new lessons about his place in society and himself, finally realizing what he truly wants from Christmas.
