It is time. To. ASCEND. Welcome back to Dot Plot Ascension you horny freaks. It's the show where Bob and Kalena watch a show with a goofy title, give that title to their beautiful idiot friend, Quinn, and have him guess the plot based on that title. He doesn't do great. But hopefully they make jokes along the way. We come in HOT. There's jokes off the top this week. Two sequences of opening music because Editing Quinn had to find a way to splice these bits nicely. 7/10 Editor Quinn. This week, we cover anime based off mobile App games and they all have colons in the title! First ascension: MercstoriA: The Apathetic Boy and The Girl in the Bottle, which may be a mis-translation. WHO KNOWS. Next up: Mr Love: Queen's Choice. This is a good ass name. Respect this name. We take a detour to review some Japanese Mascots! It's Quinn's new segment, where he finds good ass mascots from Japan and shares them with his good friends! Lastly, we build a world from Fight League: Gear Gadget Generators. It gets dark. Sweet Jesus, y'all. It's a chaotic time. Some people say Black Lives Matter, other people are racist, and somehow there's DISCUSSION ABOUT WHO IS THE BAD GUYS. We here at Dot Plot Ascension are firmly in the camp of trying to be actively Anti-Racist. Abolish the Police. Getting that done up front.

Anyhow, we talk about some shows, too. All centered around revolutionaries, I think. The way anime treats revolutions is odd, so we did our best! We touch on Cannon Busters, from LeSean Thomas, the only BIPOC anime studio head which beats ass. We make a bunch of pee jokes in regards to Guilty Crown, and then Cross Ange: Rondo of Angel and Dragon happens, turns out bad, and we settle into a fine glass of Shimoneta (A Boring World, Where The Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn't Exist). We have fun here. WATCH OUT FOR THE AURAL ASSAULT AT THE END, I AM NO KIDDING, THE SOUNDS ARE BAD, VERY UNGOOD SOUNDS AT THE END. Black Lives Matter, Abolish the Police.

Welcome to the inaugural, incredibly well-made, and popular show, Dot Plot Ascension! We bring to you a comedy podcast wherein three friends, Kalena, Bobby, and Quinn, attempt to discover the worst and most chaotic titles in anime. Bobby and Kalena find and watch these aberrations and affronts to God, and Quinn attempts to discern the plot of the show from the title alone. He does not do well. He does a really bad job, mostly. We're sorry.

Our first offering is a bit of an exploration of the form, deciding on what the name of the show is, and how we're going to format it. We also COMPLETELY neglect to introduce ourselves at all. We're so good at this stuff, y'all. Love to cast pods.
