Oops! I inadvertently completed this interactive Christmas Eve-related adventure but there are still some different responses you can give along the way. I hope you're looking forward to tomorrow as much as you did when you were the right age for this story.
Just like yesterday, today's skill will almost certainly help save Christmas as we know it. Aid Bernard the Yorkshire (or possibly Lancashire) elf locate the elusive red-coated fellow upon which Christmas pretty much depends. Apologies up-front for all the days of this skill we've missed and for the long and totally unnecessary explanation of the Giant's Causeway. BTW, in saying Yorkshire *or* Lancashire I've immediately alienated both groups of listeners in one fell swoop.
With great visuals for those Echoes with a screen, today's skill is lots of fun for everyone and may well help save Christmas as we know it (i.e. a huge over-commercialised present-giving machine). Ho, ho, ho!
Mrs Tiggy Winkle and all the other exquisitly-penned Beatrix Potter characters are now available through your Echo - plus, you can now call Santa direct at the North Pole. It's true. Give it a go.
Many of us are about to do some serious travelling as we visit family and friends over Christmas. It's useful to know how the roads are looking before you head off (usually sort of grey with the occasional white line, in case you're interested).
Get a yule log going on your Echo Show, no fireplace required! Say “Alexa, open Holiday Yule Log” to see looping footage of a crackling fire and listen to a soundtrack of holiday tunes. Oh and BTW, no screen is required to enjoy this feast of gorgeously-festive tunes.
There are loads of great ambient sound skills available through the A-lady, but these are the best. It says so on the tin.
First covered over 300 episodes ago, this captivating skill by Stoked Skills LLC will keep you enthralled trying to help Father Christmas find the way to regain his festive freedom in time to deliver all those millions of prezzies around the world.
Again by the developers at Hugo.fm, today's skill is really nicely done. Loads of great stories with sweet sound-effects and brought to us with a personalised twist.
It's about time I reminded everyone that skills can still be good even though they don't have sound effects. This one may well not be worthy of a place on the 'Great presents' pile, but it certainly belongs into the 'No sound-effects' sack.
