Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat. It's time to yank open those advent calendar doors and get a real festive treat every day in the run up to that lovely time of year that is Christmas. OK - I'm a Baha'i and not a Christian. But we believe in Jesus of course - as we do all the Messengers of God - and so we can enjoy every festival with equal excitement. And boy am I excited about Christmas!
Just a quick reminder today that you can listen to Dot to Dot as part of your daily flash briefing by asking her to "Enable The Daily Five Minutes Skill Demo Show".
Are you expecting or know someone who is? Alternatively, you might just be weirdly interested in day-by-day, blow-by-blow info on what's involved. Either way, here's what the skillstore says about today's fab skill; Pregnancy Advice is here to give you daily tips and advice throughout your pregnancy, based on the experiences of real-life parents who visit Mumsnet every day. Mumsnet is the UK’s largest network for parents, with around 10 million unique visitors per month clocking up around 100 million page views. Our daily pregnancy tips will tell you fascinating (we hope!) facts about what's happening to you and your growing baby from the moment you get your bfp (big fat positive) until the day you give birth. You'll also get some essential words of wisdom on everything from weird pregnancy cravings to preparing for life with a newborn. To get started, just enable Pregnancy Advice and tell it your due date. If you don't know your due date, you can find out using the due date calculator at mumsnet.com
It's the last demo of the Echo Show for now. Today we look at that other classic falling objects game; Connect 4 (but this time with the numeral spelt out - almost certainly for trademark reasons). If you don't have an Echo with a screen and yet still, for some slightly bizarre reason, have the urge to control the game by voice and at the same time see it in a browser, then the action can be accessed by going to https://calcbox.de.
Wit a huge apology up-front for everyone without one of these shiny Echo Show puppies, the big question of the day is whether, using commands such as "Alexa, left, right, rotate, counter or drop" can you beat the blocks as they fall inexorably towards the bottom of your lovely Echo Show's screen? Only one way to find out.
Black Friday's coming up and you may want to consider scooping up one of these superbly useful Echo Shows. I've got the 5" version and it was well worth the £50 price tag when last it was in the sales - in fact I'd probably pay much more. See what you think.
Ashley Colburn ([email protected]) is very util in bringing us this brilliant skill. 'Util'; Helpful - as in "Ashley es muy util"; "Ashley is very helpful."
