This week on the above podcast, Teri Fisher (@AlexaInCanadaCA) goes over those thousands of settings in the A-lady app to help you make sure your Echo is set up to perfection - and so I wanted to give him a shout out. Nice job.
This is a gentle game of extreme violence inflicted with unusual spells and weapons. If you've ever wanted to make a mountainous magic bubble out of gum and blow it at your foe, then today's skill's for you.
Never miss an MOT again with the help of Andy Brown (@AndrewBrown100) and his genie in a can.
* Again a mature content warning * The last in the 'Super something' series of skills by Vocala.co today, and this time we're at the roulette wheel. When the chips are down, the podcast host goes completely to pieces.
Zork! Zork's back! In several flavours!! Thanks to Thomas Domville ([email protected]) who's a gent of the first order to bring this to our attention. If this skill is not available where you are, you may want to try asking for 'Unofficial Zork' instead.
* Again a mature content warning * Also by Vocala.co, today's skill is an Alexified version of Blackjack with some great sound-effects. As before, you can also up your credits with cold hard cash by saying "Open shop" at any time in the game.
Ashley Colburn ([email protected]) brings us a really high-powered skill today. So if you want to optimise nutrition to get the most out of those workouts, then this skill may well be for you.
* Mature content warning guys - and I'm not sure why, but flagging just in case * Today's skill is the first in a series by Vocala.co and is the good old higher/lower card game with delicious sound effects. The twist is that you can buy more chips with actual money and get nothing in return but virtual versions of those plastic discs. Discuss.
In today's episode I said that nothing would persuade me to swin in a lake of alligators. I take it back. If my family were in danger that might just do it. But today Thomas Domville ([email protected]) swims out in that gator-infested nightmare for his carkeys. That's right! No car is worth that. Noooooooooo! No way José.
Today we look at a skill that brings us the great stories from Narratively.com - read out loud. Please do send in your skill demos, or questions about how to go about recording one, to [email protected]. I'd also really appreciate it if you'd follow me on Twitter (@USA2DAY) or just tweet about Dot to Dot using #DTDPod or just @mention me in your tweets. Also, any reviews for the podcast in iTunes, or for the 'Daily 5 Minute Skill Demo Show' (which is the flash briefing version of this podcast) on the Alexa website (or in the app), would be supremely appreciated.
