This week we kick off our Season King with "Carrie." We discuss the phenomenon that is Stephen King, and how without De Palma starting the adaptations of his work, we may not have all of the great films we will be covering this season. After some background, we discuss the production history of "Carrie." We, then, begin a discussion of all of the plot points and style that we have come to love from this film. Finally, we each pair the film with another film for a pair of excellent double bills!
