Double Issue episodes

  • Episode 43: Dilwale ("Oh, I'm so glad you guys are finally reviewing WALL-E," said Kindred's dad in response to her mentioning that this episode is about Dilwale. What a classic dad joke.)
The title says it all . . . or does it? Kindred and Riley discuss a movie starring Shah Rukh Khan, and also talk about the Fourth of July a week late. Kindred relays a Third of July story and Riley reminds us all about the true meaning of the Fourth, being very sweaty. Guys, thanks for listening and we think you're all pretty dang cool.

  • 21 - Martian Timeline (Worldbuild)
This week we're doing another worldbuild due to Quentin moving (although maybe he'd get more done without Assassin's Creed Origins). But it's not just any worldbuild. This time we try using an rpg to help us along. Let us know if you like this experiment, because we think it turned out really well and would like to incorporate more storytelling games into our worldbuild in the future. For now, enjoy finding out some of what happened on Mars before the martians came to Earth.
July we are taking part in an indie podcast campaign called 2PodsADay. Each day, the twitter @2PodsADay will feature 2 indie podcasts, including us! So follow them, so you can listen more and listen indie. The two pods we mentioned during our show are: I Never Saw That and Memphis Surf - They're both really great podcasts we may not have found out about without this campaign.
Also, thanks to Ben Robbins for making the game Microscope that we used for this episode. It's a really cool game and if you liked that he has more storytelling games of similar type on his website where you can buy them all! http://arsludi.lamemage.com/

  • Episode 42: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Tamagotchi
We all knew this day would come. Kindred and Riley review Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and wish they could be as beautiful as all the beautiful people. Riley introduces you to her new Tamagotchi (still alive! going on day 12!) and ends up explaining a lot about how her dogs let her know they need to pee. Meanwhile, Kindred furthers her tendency to remain neutral whenever possible.

  • Totally Filler - Solo: A Star Wars Tale
No stories or worldbuilding this week. Quentin is moving and Daniel is working on some double top secret side projects this week, so we needed a week. Instead of a regular episode, enjoy this spoiler-free-ish review of SOLO. However, there are some spoilers for the Return of the Jedi and the Prequels.
We are joined by Mike Sandberg and Ian R. Buck. This is episode was also aired on the Nexus TV and Cinemike. For the full episode, check out their shows.
If movies about space aren’t your thing then I highly recommend checking out the Fourth Journal or Headline Heroes. We’ll be back next week with another exciting episode of Double Issue. We are working on a couple of stories about “tabula rasa” and at some point a part two for our Citadel City talk. Till then, keep on... being super!

  • 20 - The Sensational Six (with Marcel Pérez) (Worldbuild)
This week Daniel and Quentin go to Hollywood. A place they know little about. Luckily they're joined by Marcel Pérez a real life Hollywood guy. So, come along for the ride as we build a team that puts the real in reality television.
You can find Marcel Pérez on Instagram, Twitter, and on his podcast: Giving Credit(s)
