We wrap up our trilogy of Die Another Day episodes by bringing back our favourite non fiction Bond writer, the one and only Nicolas Suszczyk. One of several new books Nicolas has written since he was last on the show is Beyond the Ice: The Case for and Against Die Another Day. Why do people need to consider the state of the world and the state of movies in 2002 in order to fully appreciate Die Another Day? What aspects of the story work and what doesn't? Our second episode of the Die Another Day trilogy continues, as promised we have one of our favourite actors from the film here to talk about their experiences. Michael Gor who played henchman Vlad joins us to talk about his experiences in being cast as Vlad, wanting to bring an authentic Russian take on a Russian character in the Bond series. Michael talks about his positive experiences working with Lee Tamahori, Pierce Brosnan and Halle Berry. He goes into detail of that massive ice palace set and a certain brutal death scene on board the Antonov. Michael also discusses his experiences working with Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, and tells one of the greatest acting techniques he ever witnessed from the one and only Gary Oldman. It’s time to start a special ‘trilogy’ of episodes on a movie that only we (or let’s be honest, Ben) would do a trilogy on, DIE ANOTHER DAY! Yes, that’s right, somehow we have managed to get together three consecutive episodes related to the movie that at least one third of our hosts defends (too much). The best news is that all three episodes are interviews, and we’re kicking things off today by speaking with a man who seemingly enjoys the movie as much as Ben does, Max Baire, who is the creator of the Instagram page ‘Die Another Day Memes’. On this page, Max posts some pretty hilarious memes about the 20th Bond movie, and is getting himself a bit of a following in doing so. In this interview we find out just why he decided to start this page, his creative process in coming up with the memes, whether or not he actually likes the movie and of course the big burning question about whether or not he likes Madonna and the song. It’s an episode that you’ll have to listen to because, well, you do! So get to listening!

After getting deep and meaningful in our recap of The Beautician and the Beast, it’s time to extend our coverage of the Timothy Dalton film just a little bit further by bringing on the director of the film Ken Kwapis to talk everything about it!
