My good friend Tadd Bowditch comes on the podcast and tells us what its like being out in the front-line; delivering groceries for insta cart during this pandemic. I am very lucky to be in a position where I am receiving enough unemployment to pay my bills. Not everyone has this luxury. There is a financial crisis going on and covid has destroyed peoples savings, finances and stressed them to a breaking point. Tadd was one of those people. In this special and very controversial episode I bring in Travis Van Dell who recently was attacked over a social media thread regarding his support for Donald Trump. It all started with an article shared by one of our good friends on social media. Once Travis saw the article he commented on the thread; questioning the validity of the article. The flood gates are now open. Tons of memes, name calling, question dodging, moral high ground tactics, condescending comments and more follow in this thread which is no longer about Trump, but about Travis being an uniformed racist. Drama makes for the best content. However, there is more to this episode than juicy social media drama which we all love to read. We annotate every comment on the thread, leaving all the names out of each individual and expose their tactics and discover some deeper meaning to all this. Of course, I had to bring in Professor Phil on this one. We all have disagreements, Phil is one of my closest friends and I don't agree with 80% of the words that come out of his mouth. Do I disown him? No. Do I make fun of him? No. Do I hear him out? Yes. I believe talking to people that disagree or have different view points from you is a required principle for achieving self-realization; and I believe that is lesson is something we can all take from this podcast.
